Patches the long hauler, so many issues.
Dental exam and cleaning that turned into a surgical extraction of 2 front teeth and 2 molars. Trupanion paid for the surgery and half the anaesthetic. they responded promptly and were amazingly quick to reimburse my money.

Trupanion is a solid, good and empathetic insurance provider
We recently lost our beloved Charlie to hemangiosarcoma. It was an awful time, and we were absolutely devastated. Trupanion was involved with the claim, and I had to speak with them on the phone over a few things. The girl I spoke with was empathetic, kind and I could tell she really cared. I have used this company for the past 5 years. Their processing is fast, and fair. They take a lot of stress out of very stressful situations. Their reporting is excellent. Thank you Trupanion.
(Un)Trupanion - Next Level Scam Artistry
After 14 years of paying significant premiums with this company, I recently found out they were charging me almost double because my spayed female cat (named Marilyn) was mis-categorized as male. This resulted in significantly higher premiums over the course of 14 years. The company now refuses to reimburse any of the extra fees paid, claiming it was my fault for not noticing their error. Every single dealing with this company has been a battle. You are expected to be an expert-level diagnostician when making a claim, as virtually all issues are considered as 'new', meaning you will be subject to always paying your deductible, even if a condition was related to a previous claim. Every which way, this company has skewed things to their massive advantage. You don't stand a chance. The ONLY reason I am still with them is that after 14 years, I may actually be coming close to getting my premium coverage worth. Close. But what a struggle. They are masters at changing the game whenever it suits them/disadvantages you. Would never recommend them again.
