Petplan Pet Insurance will gladly take your money, but if you have a claim it is highly unlikely to pay, claiming it is a pre-existing condition. Had an insignificant mole on my dog 5 years ago. Decided to have a needle biopsy on it due to changes in the size of the mole, then Vet said we should remove it since it had some spindle cells in the biopsy. Thankfully it was benign. But Petplan did not allow the claim saying it was a pre-existing condition, even though the Vet sent a letter letting them know that when it was examined 5 years ago there was no reason to believe it was a problem and they were no issues. Do not buy their insurance, you are better paying it out of pocket then the $1300+ per year I paid for 3 years.
