Wouldnt go without it

I have insured my shep/samoyed x since she was 12 weeks as 1 year prior my mother in law had to euthanize her 11 month beautiful shep due to severe hip displasia, they could not afford the 12000 surgery. It has been a blessing to me, Hailey is now 12yrs old and has had numerous issues over the past 5 years. Both knees and 3 boughts with hepatitis - still working on the third. Not withstanding testing for spinal issues, mri to test for degenerative mylopothy (negative)on and on it goes right now. But, we are able to do everything we can to find out the proper way to treat her. I tell everyone i now or meet at the vet hospital that i wouldnt go without it. Takes the decision making out of the picture. Securican has alway supported our treatment choices and have never questions our decisions. I have never used any other company so as far as a rating go i have not comparison. I dont now if my rates are higher than others but i have no compaints about service.

Too many stipulations

One thing after the other with Pet Secure as to why they cannot pay the entire claim. I have not even been with them a year, and they have decreased coverages on one of my cats because I have made 3 claims with them since I received insurance, so now my cat is high risk, and will only cover 70% I am in the midst of switching insuance plans now, I think its disgusting how companies can "change their mind" on their own contract of rules. I would not recomend Pet Secure to ANYONE

They Did What They Advertised They'd Do

In August my 12 year old cat became infected with T. foetus, he was very ill for several weeks before the eventual diagnosis. His vets bills escalated as he required SQ fluids, X-rays, blood tests and liver and thyroid function tests. This was the first claim I had submitted for my cat in the 3-4 years I have had him insured with Petsecure. I sent the relevant paperwork in with a slight degree of uncertainty as to whether I would hit the usual "insurance company brick wall". I need not have worried, Petsecure paid the full amount I claimed for (which was total cost of treatment minus deductible and co-insurance) within 7 business days. No questions asked. My cat is slowly getting back to his old self, he has follow tests scheduled shortly and I am confident these too will be covered by Petsecure. The name says it all, you're pet really is secure with this company!

best thing I did for my dog

Petsecure was there for us all the way when my twelve year old border collie-cross was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She had neuro surgery to remove the mass and nine months later remains tumour free. Petsecure reimbursed us nearly $20,000 in vet bills, something we could not have managed on our own. A pet owner's financial situation should never have to be the deciding factor when it comes to providing treatment for your pet. Fortunately for us it didn't have to be thanks to Petsecure.

Ok

My German Shepherd is with Petsecure for over 2 years. He has been on the all inclusive plan since 8 weeks old. Unfortunately, he always had minor health problems (ear infection, digestive issues). I didn't think we made too many claims as some of them are for preventative care which is covered in our policy. Nevertheless, the premium increased twice in 2 years and coverage decreased just after one year. Soon after, he came down with pneumonia and mysterious disease that cost more than $6000, for a period of 5 months. We just submitted the claim for the whole thing. Hopefully, there's no problem with it. Well, if my dog had been healthy, this plan would have been great as they do pay promptly. But now I see huge premium with less coverage for the remaining years of his life.
