Pets Plus Us | Pet Insurance Review

After paying into a plan for years, our cat needed a tooth removed - our first claim. We tried getting a hold of someone for weeks to make sure the procedure would be covered and no one got back to us and we couldn't wait any longer because our cat was in pain so we proceeded. We tried to submit the claim AND THEY DON'T COVER DENTAL!?!?!?!? I'm blown away. This was not clearly communicated to us when we purchased coverage and would have never purchased coverage if we knew this. So shady. What kind of health insurance doesn't cover dental? 0/10, do not recommend. Will be canceling our policy. So disappointing.

My claim was dealt with efficiently and I received reimbursement in 2 weeks. Such a relief at this worrying time.

Very satisfied with insurance so far. A bit pricy for my puppy Rottweiler though.. But the claim process was easy on Portal. Takes some time to figure out what information exactly needed. But outcome is very satisfying at the end. I advise to send as much info about your pet as possible and also ask to do the same your veterinarian. Otherwise you will keep getting emails that more information required. Overall I very happy choosing Pet plus us . They deliver what promise. Hope our rates not going up crazy. My puppy only 8 month old and it is long way to go with this insurance. Thank you Pet Plus Us for helping my puppy get healthie.

On their website they say premiums will not increase due to pet age or claims. However, we have had coverage for our dog the past two years and the premium has INCREASED BY 22% in that time. When asked, they said this was due to inflation and the increasing cost of veterinary care. My partner is a manager of a large veterinary hospital. Clients would be outraged if their prices increased 22% in two years. So Pets Plus Us, when does it stop? At this rate I will be paying DOUBLE the premium amount before my dog is 10 years old. Would not recommend.

So far we have submitted 2 claims. 1st beginning of Sept., refund received OK, 2nd claim submitted Sept 25th (no refund so far), 3rd claim should go in Oct. 19th. The question/answer page does not indicate how long it will take tp process a claim. When you have several bills to submitted it may be difficult to keep track of all your records/claims. The your portal does show info link claim "in process' but no time lines. If you have thousands of dollars in claims you would like a speed refund so you can pay your bills.
