Our puppy broke his leg ( at the breeders) and having trial puppy insurance allowed us to get the care he needed!Management was not available the day he needed surgery but it all worked out fine. It took a few weeks to receive reimbursement and there was a maximum of $1000 for the trial period but it sure helped... Overall satisfied customers

Pets Plus Us is the best! I am a first time cat owner and my wife convinced me to get pet insurance, after researching our options we chose Pets Plus Us, I sure am thankful I did. I was not aware of how sick a cat could get. I woke up one morning to my little guy crying in pain and not letting us anywhere near him. We rushed him to emergency vet where I found out he was blocked and could not urinate. He stayed in emergency for 5 days and they ran blood work and urinalysis frequently throughout the stay. Pets Plus Us covered the emergency fees, all the tests, his hospital stay and all the follow up care. They even cover some of his special food he is now on for life, now that is sweet! Thanks to them I did not have to limit the amount of time Loki could stay in hospital to save some money. The whole ordeal cost us over $4000 and Pets Plus Us reimbursed us promptly, no questions asked!

Among insurance companies I would rate Pets+Us highly because not only do they consider every claim very carefully, but they actually listen when you have concerns that they did not address at first. They are most willing to speak with the treating veterinarians as well as the customer and are always happy to answer either phone calls or emails. Coverage is very good for alternative care - not capped as many companies do, and while not everything is covered Pets+Us are very happy to tell you ahead of time what they will and won't cover. I also appreciate the military discount and ability to change coverage as needed. Only downfall is sometimes I do wait several weeks for a claim perhaps due to the complexity of my dogs health issues. I am happy to say that most alternative therapies were covered after some clarifications ! I would like to see a type of bonus reduction in premiums for those of us who keep our dogs fit and holistically healthy -:)
