Thank you, Pets Plus Us

Thanks to Pets Plus Us, I am able to provide hyperbaric chamber treatments for my young cat who has a serious autoimmune condition. The treatments, while not a cure, have given him an amazing quality of life and I am most thankful. With every visit, veterinary staff continue to be amazed at how well he is doing. Thank you, Pets Plus Us for covering this state of the art treatment.

Bought for peace of mind but was a Waste of money

Bought the accident policy for piece of mind. My dog simply injured her front leg jumping and running over logs and forest stump while playing with another dog. She came limping up to me and had a limp for a week after. I waited 4 days to observe but thought I'd take her to the vet to get checked out. The vet (who we never met before as she went to another vet for shots and spay) noticed a bit of limping or lameness from the accident in the forest and said to leash walk and rest it. She also said these dogs are prone to elbow dysplacia and it it persists then she would look at that. The dog was fine within the week of her injury. My dog is extremely agile and solid I her stature. She is almost 16 months and has no issues with her joints. The pets plus said they would not insure this claim because it was an illness and possible elbow dysplacia??? I said you could hypothesis about any given ailment. When the vet said if it persist it could possibly be dysplacia which I immediately said no way if you saw her running and leaping around with no lameness or limp you'd know. I also said yo could write this dog may get cancer in 8 years too. Anyway this company would not cover a simple muscle train accident then I'd hate to see what they do in a major incident situation?? Waste of time and money the will deny most claims and find any loop hole.

Excellent but costly

The coverage is amazing. My only complaint is that when I first purchased this insurance, I was told the premium would never increase due to age. However, the premium increases by a few dollars every single year. They say it's to keep up with costs of vet care in our area. My monthly premium started at under $60 back in 2015, and today we're at $75 only 4 years later. What I find odd is that my vet still charges the same as she did 4 years ago, so I'm not sure what vetcare cost increases they are trying to keep up with.
