Stay Away from Pets Plus Us Canada
I was a loyal customer for six years, keeping up with all premiums on time. My dog had no prior accidents or illnesses—until recently, when she began showing symptoms of a possible back injury. Despite that, Pets Plus Us denied coverage for all diagnostic tests, to exclude illness and now needs a MRI, simply because no vet report explicitly used the word “accident.” All attempts to determine what was wrong were rejected, even though vets clearly suspected a back trauma.

Gratitude
It was the first time as an dog owner to experience the cost in our baby Tyson undergoing surgery. I have not received anything yet but they have provided a break down of the insurance coverage support which am grateful for.

Better than we ever hoped for
When we adopted our senior dog, we knew we would need insurance. We evaluated a few companies and decided to take the chance and partner with Pets Plus Us.
We’ve been with them for over a year now and have been very impressed with all aspects of this company.
Their customer service is top notch, should you ever need to call.
The website and portal are very easy to use and cover so many different ailments, treatments, conditions etc.
We’ve submitted a handful of claims for our senior dog and each one has been handled quickly and efficiently.
Would highly recommend Pets Plus Us to anyone!
Monthly Cost
Monthly costs vary based on your pet’s species, age, and location, as well as your chosen plan. Customize coverage to suit your pet’s needs and your budget.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill and includes coverage of exam fees and taxes.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $5,000 in Accident Only coverage, or $7,500 or $15,000 in Accident & Illness coverage annually, depending on your chosen plan.
Deductible
$100 – $700 age-based annual deductible.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
There is no upper age limit.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins after 48 hours for accidents. A policy waiting period of 14 days applies for illnesses.
Exclusions
All pet insurance plans have limitations and exclusions. Medical Conditions that are noted, symptomatic or diagnosed prior to enrollment, or during a waiting period are pre-existing to Coverage and not eligible for reimbursement.
All Accident & Illness policies are underwritten upfront so pet owners are aware of any pre-existing conditions that will not be covered prior to making a claim.
