CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT GREAT

WHEN I OPENED THIS POLICY REQUESTED PAYMENT DATE THAT COINCIDED WITH MY PAYPERIOD. IT WAS SET UP 4 DYAS BEFORE THE DATE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. I HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO MOVE IT TO THE CORRECT DATE, ONLT TO BE TOLD THEY CANT AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY DOUBLE FOR ONE MONTH, RATHER THAN JUST MOVE IT 4 DAYS. ONLY COMPANY EVER HEARD OF THAT CANT MANAGE TO SET A WITHDRAWAL DATE CORRECLTY. BECAUSE OF THIS MY OTHER 3 DOGS WILL BE INSURED ELSEWHERE BECAUSE THEY ALSO WONT ALLOW THE REST TO BE ON THE CORRECT DATE BUT WOULD PUT ALL 5 POLICIES TO BE WITHDRAWN ON A DATE THATS NO WHERE NEAR DATE THAT WAS REQUESTED. OTHER THAN THAT, SOME CLAIMS ARE PRETTY SLOW TO PROCESS, SOME ARE QUICK AND EASY. DONT LIKE THAT YOU CANT SUBMIT YOUR RECEIPTS AND HAVE TO GET THE VET TO DO IT. HAVING TO USE TWO DIFFERENT INSURANCE COMPANIES IS A PAIN, WILL LIKELY CANCEL THIS ONE AND MOVE THEM SO ALL IN ONE PLACE SINCE NO ONE SEEMS ABLE SOLVE THIS.

Difficult to cancel

Will change anything over the phone, but wont cancel your policy. Only way is by email, which they happen to lose. They are now trying to bill me for an entire month because they didnt process the cancellation until after my second email requesting them to cancel (which was the date they tried to bill me).

Painless Experience

I have a little guy who has needed daily meds and some internal medicine workups to figure out his pancreatitis/kidney problems. I have been reimbursed more than $6000 over a few years for this kitty, and I know he’ll be a lifer on this medication. The claims process has been seamless and easy. I also have coverage for my 2nd kitty, but he hasn’t needed anything. Happy to have the security.

Best customer service experience

Our puppy got herself into trouble while we were out of province and we had to make our first insurance claim. The agent was fantastic. I wish all of my customer experiences were like this.

Furious with the lack of support.

I currently have a claim pending, which I've sent the information needed numerous times. My vets office has sent it 3 times and I've sent it 2 times now. I have not been called or emailed back when promised I would be, and every time I call, the answer is "we haven't recieved it, I will look into it" and then nothing happens. I am so beyond angry right now. It's been over a month now. On top of this, when my card expired at the end of last year approximately? I gave them my new credit card number several times. They kept trying to charge the old one, and I kept calling them back saying you can't, it's expired, use the new one I gave you. So far working with them has been aweful.

Monthly Cost

Monthly costs vary based on your pet’s species, age, and location, as well as your chosen plan. Customize coverage to suit your pet’s needs and your budget.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill and includes coverage of exam fees and taxes.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000 in Accident Only coverage, or $7,500 or $15,000 in Accident & Illness coverage annually, depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100 – $700 age-based annual deductible.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. There is no upper age limit.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins after 48 hours for accidents. A policy waiting period of 14 days applies for illnesses.

Exclusions

All pet insurance plans have limitations and exclusions. Medical Conditions that are noted, symptomatic or diagnosed prior to enrollment, or during a waiting period are pre-existing to Coverage and not eligible for reimbursement. All Accident & Illness policies are underwritten upfront so pet owners are aware of any pre-existing conditions that will not be covered prior to making a claim.
