Claims are easy, but the company is pretty good at looking for ways out
For the few claims I have put in that actually went through, that much has worked great. But because an initial checkup for my adopted cat I mentioned she's been throwing up every now and then since I adopted her (which was before I got this policy), which turned out to be hairballs in the end (I'm not used to long haired cats!) and treatable at home, she was labeled with "gastropathy". Despite a somewhat heated argument with a supervisor over the phone the conclusion was that for 6 months if my cat came down with ANYTHING that gave her a symptom of "gastropathy" or "throwing up" she was not covered! Cats will barf for almost any reason! That means I've only been covered for flea meds, and MAYBE just MAYBE a wellness check if I needed it as long as it wasn't because she was BARFING. Meanwhile I'm paying $65/mo. VERY DISSATISFIED!!!! The underwriters are cold and cannot understand basic common sense. You give them one small reason, one slip of a tongue, and they'll write you off. But I guess that's insurance companies for you?
Now that my six months are up, I get to fill out a form to have this reviewed, but the instructions on how to do so are not helpful or easy to find. not to mention, there's no email to send the form to, only fax! I'm locked down because of this virus so I don't have access to a fax!
