Super happy with this pet insurance for my bearded dragon.

I definitely have gotten my money's worth out of this insurance. When I had an emergency with my bearded dragon, I was able to rush her to the vet without worrying how much it was going to cost me to get her well.

Nationwide insurance was very fair in receiving , processing and reimbursing our claim

Nationwide insurance in great in processing and reimbursing our claim. They did request medical records to determine preexisting conditions. As a healthcare professional, this often normal procedure in processing claims for patients( non human and human) . They were very fair in their assessment. I am glad we got Nationwide Whole Pet Insurance for our pet. Nationwide Pet Insurance is No Kai Oi!

So worth it!

Vet Insurance through Nationwide is offered through my employer, and I did not hesitate to sign up after I got Harley almost 8 years ago after I spent thousands of dollars on costs for my previous pets, all of which died (of old age) within a short time of one another. While Harley is generally a pretty healthy cat, he has had a few episodes that required a trip to the ER and some follow up, and everything has been covered. It's so nice to not have to worry about the costs when your fur baby is sick. Easy and quick claim process too. I reccommend it to all friends who get a new pet.

Started out rocky. Seems solid now!

The first claim that we were supposed to see any sort of reimbursement took about 2 months with many calls out to them. But these last few claims have been done pretty quick. Overall My pets and I are thankful for the help of nation wide.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
