Fast, Easy Service

I have the complete wellness package for my 9-year old cats. I was pleased that the claim process was very easy to complete. Also my checks came quickly. I am going to change my account to allow direct deposits in future.

Gives me piece of mind

I'm glad I have this. However, my dog's premium went up $800 this year. That's a big jump.

Overall very good service that I have had since my 15 yr old was a puppy

I will never have a pet without pet insurance. I have 15 yr old and an 8 yr dog . My 15 yr old tore her ACL and everything was paid for through insurance. My 8 yr old developed Encephalitis as well as rupture his gallbladder so had to have emergency surgery. Approximately 85% of his MRI's, surgeries and ER cost were paid for by insurance. All of these issues would have been out of my budget but with insurance I am blessed that they are both still with me. I feel the premiums have gone up quite bit suddenly over the past few years but that would be my only issue.

Process is easy and efficient

Process is easy and efficient. Pricing is pretty high and I hope it does not go up again this year because I hate to lose this excellent insurance due to cost.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
