Great Insurance

Nationwide lives up to its claim that "it's on your side." It really was when my dog suffered a ruptured disc and required surgery and a lengthy hospitalization afterward, in addition to physical therapy. My boy is alive today because of this insurance as the cost was much more than I could have afforded without the coverage. I recommend it to all my friends and family who have pets. In fact, I am such a confirmed customer that I have covered my house and car, too.

Good coverage, high premium cost, slow reimbursement process

I appreciate the coverage provided by Nationwide Insurance. My pup has has some health challenges and I'm so happy to have the insurance coverage. That said, the premium is high. Also, when I called to chat about a change at renewal time, the representative was borderline rude. There was no 'pet friendly' conversation and basically the end result was 'you get what you get, here's your option'. I did not get an warm fuzzy but maybe that's the way it's supposed to be OR that person was having a bad day ... in the end I did renew. They were right ... I get what I pay for. Finally, why does it take almost 5 weeks to get a refund? That process timeline is frustrating and confusing. I submit quickly. I submit all my receipts with the required forms ... I pay my premiums on time and still have to wait. Hmmm ... is that was I get too? :-) I would like to say thank you for offering Pet Insurance. I appreciate the opportunity to protect my pet investment.

Best Insurance EVER!

We have had Nationwide Pet Insurance (formally VPI) for over 15 years. We cover out puppies the day we get them and have never been unhappy with the service. We have one 14 yr old that has had medical expenses over $20,000. Nationwide covered about $10,000 of her costs and were extremely helpful in guiding us thru her health issues. Our little 4 lb. 2 year old had major surgery last year. They reimbursed us for over $8,000. We could never had afforded the care they needed if it wasn't for Nationwide and their very supportive staff. I recommend them to everyone I know that has or is about to get a new pet. Please consider Nationwide for your pet. Good Luck and have a happy pet experiance.

Nationwide Pet Insurance gives you peace of mind.

We have had 9 pets over the years - 7 dogs and 2 cats. They have all been insured by Veterinary Pet Insurance and then Nationwide the past few years. It has been so reassuring to know that if they became sick or injured that it would not become an issue of euthanizing because we could not afford treatment. The settlement of claims has always been timely and fair. Wouldn't have a pet without enrollment with Nationwide. Thank you for being there in times of need.
