Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We ❤ Healthy Paws and our Paws & Claws Protectors! I should let you know, I am a 3 1/2 year old She-Puppy who is called BeePop a LuLu, BeeBop, Baby and many other terms of endearment.   In my house, (and, YES!  It is MY house!) there is also a He-puppy.  We are sighthounds.   By nature, if we catch sight of an insect, we chase it; and naturally. . . want to devour it.  Mmmm. . . Yummy (I think, maybe.  Hmm, don't know really, just like catching things.) One beautiful sunshiny summer day, I did just that!  I ate a bee right AFTER it stung me. (Yeah, I know.  Bees are good for the ecological system.  I get that.  Really, I do!)  Unbeknownst  to me and my people, I am allergic to bees.  Immediately after the bee stung me, I cried out, vomited and had diarrhea simultaneously, and collapsed to the kitchen floor.  We made it to the Pet Emergency in under 15 minutes, with one calm and one ballistic humans carrying me into the Pet ER, my head lolling to the side with my eyes rolled back, and shallowly breathing.   I was diagnosed with anaphylactic shock due to bee sting. Thankfully, I recovered.   Recently, my He-puppy (He is MY puppy!) broke his leg, which has been a devastating and traumatic experience for our entire household. He-puppy had to go to the Pet Emergency, too, and also had to have surgery on his leg.  Really scary stuff! During both incidents, my humans paid the bills and later submitted the insurance claims on-line to Healthy Paws.   The on-line claims process is streamlined, quick, and efficient; and, the entire claims process from beginning to end was completed within a few weeks.   As a result of this efficiency, my people were able to focus on our recovery, rather than the additional anxiety of completing tons of forms and repeat follow-up conversations with customer service representatives.   Truly, a blessing.  In addition, our Paws & Claws Protectors had genuine concern for both of our health & recovery and communicated with my people especially about us.  Yep!  They know me by name, too.  Pretty Pawsome! This made our people very happy.   Some people on the planet do not understand fur babies are absorbed into their human family's pack as members.  It is not a "them" and "us," rather it is a "WE" and "OUR FAMILY."  The Healthy Paws and the Paws & Claws Protectors get it!  They understand we are essential members in our family -- OUR PACK!  Both He-puppy and I recommend Healthy Paws to other fur babies and their people.   Our people said to tell you, "The Healthy Paws' high quality service & customer care are worth the investment!"   Truly fantastic!

We have 3 insurance policies with Healthy Paws for each of our senior pitbulls. Recently, our 9 year old was diagnosed with cancer in the lungs and just started chemotherapy. Since this was not a preexisting condition with him, Healthy Paws has been reimbursing 80% of all medical expenses (ER visit and chemotherapy visits with oncologist). This is allowing us to soak up the extra time with him and not worry about whether or not we can get him help due to cost. We are forever grateful for Healthy Paws for their friendly customer service, wonderful coverage, ease of submitting claims, and reimbursements. If you don't have pet insurance, please do yourself a favor and get one with Healthy Paws!

A colleague at work convinced me to get dog insurance when we got our puppy, but I was hesitant; I just couldn't imagine we would need it, but I'm so glad we decided to do it. Thanks to Healthy Paws, we were able to afford our 10 month old puppy's surgery for a bone disease. We wouldn't have been able to make it work financially without the insurance. I'm not sure what we would have done, honestly, and I don't even want to think of what the other options would have been. They paid the hospital directly, and it all went very smoothly.
