Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I have been fortunate to have an amazing German Shepherd as my partner, and always by my side. I got pet insurance for her, as a "just in case". I am so happy I did, my GSD has OFA excellent hips and normal elbows. But, she developed arthritis, and if it wasn't for my "just in case" insurance through Healthy Paws, I would have struggled to provide her with the ongoing physical therapy which has allowed her to maintain a high quality of life. Most recently she had a sarcoma (cancer) found and removed. My "just in case" insurance came through again. I have been able to focus on my GSD's needs and not worry about the cost. Thank you, Healthy Paws, for always being there for me and for allowing me to not have to worry that I may not be able to help my dog, because of the cost. Thank you for addressing the claims I have filed so quickly, and without hassle.

Healthy Paws is amazing! One of my dogs has had ongoing health issues and every time I have a major medical bill they have come through for me and my pup. There has never been any issue with coverage, the process is quick and easy, and it’s one less stress to worry about when my pup isn’t feeling well. Charlie, our 10 1/2-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has been covered by Healthy Paws since 2013. As soon as my vet sends the invoice I get an e-mail. Once the claim has a number I get an e-mail. Once the invoice is approved and paid, I get an e-mail and within two days our reimbursement is directly deposited into our bank. I chose Healthy Paws for our dogs (we also have a 3-year-old rescue named Marli) because of the research I did. I asked our office manager of our vet's office what insurance was used the most and she said, "Healthy Paws." I went online and checked them against other companies. If I have questions I can e-mail or call them and always speak to a caring and knowledgable person. Charlie is on a few heart medications now and just yesterday I got an e-mail from customer service asking me how Charlie was feeling and to please let them know, which I did. That's what I call excellent customer service! I highly recommend this company.

Finley, our English Mastiff woke us up with whimpering and heavy panting. When we tried to reassure him by petting his head, he immediately winced and jumped up, started whining and we knew there was something wrong. We called our vet and they recommended we head to Emergency. The ER examined him and decided he would need X rays for his neck, an ultrasound for his stomachache and vomiting, fluids because he was dehydrated and an overnight stay for 1-2 day . We purchased this health insurance for our GSD when she was 5 months old and I think besides buying our dog this was the other best decision we’ve made. Our dog has had so many health problems and this insurance gives us the peace of mind to say “do whatever you need to do!” without worrying we might need to sell a car to pay for her care. If you are as big of animal lover as you think you are, its important that you never have to question whether or not to provide them the care they need. Having this insurance will help you make easy decisions in terms of care for your animal. We have had this for 4 years.
