Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We were uncertain if getting pet insurance would be worthwhile, and also which insurance to go with. After having Healthy Paws for 3 years, we couldn’t be happier with our decision. The company is very fast at processing claims and the money has always been in our bank within a week of submitting the claim. The customer service has always been great and they seem to care about my dog. I feel confident knowing that my pup can receive the appropriate medical care when necessary, without money being the determining factor on whether or not he can receive the care he needs. Pet insurance is one of those things you hope you never need to use, but sure are glad you have it when you do! Thank you Healthy Paws.

This insurance company has been really easy to work with and the claims process is fast!

I am close to cancelling this insurance. My rates have increased $10/month in 1 year for a 2 year old dog with no claims paid out. The first claim was cancelled due to lack of information. When I finally got in touch with someone they said that they were so back logged that they found my information they claimed they never got and reinstated the claim. Just for it to be denied anyway. Then the second claim I put in....guess what??? You need more information. Three....yes, three emails of me sending the "more" information you supposedly need and I keep getting the same email from you saying you need more information. I have sent it THREE times!!!!!!!!!! I pay you alot of money for you to be incompetent and inefficient. Why am I paying you when I pay all my own claims out and have to chase you around!!!! Policy number 697957-1

After a $1200 claim for my cat who had several smaller claims earlier in the year, I have to say I am feeling more confident with Healthy Paws. They did send back requests for more documents a few times before the claim could be paid out. At first I was nervous, but it all worked out. My cat who is now 4 had unexpected illness this year and this is why I purchased pet insurance. So far my rates are good after a few years of having Healthy Paws. I will now add my 4th cat with confidence. I also have to say that the customer reps are very friendly and helpful. I had asked to speak to a supervisor who explained why the requests for documents were needed, and it made sense. Be sure to keep all records for your pets as it will help the process. Lets hope for a happy future together.

It has been wonderful working with Healthy Paws. The ease of submitting our claim and speedy responses have made some very stressful medical issues so much easier for us. Healthy Paws checked in with us to make sure our Labradoodle was recovering well. This reassured us we made the right decision when choosing our Pet Insurance!
