When I first got my pug puppy I knew…

When I first got my pug puppy I knew insurance was a good idea after speaking with the vet. I went to the drawing board and did tons of research and Healthy Paws came out at the top based on reviews and the price tag. The process for filing claims is so easy (you can take pictures of the vet bill from your phone, upload and you’re done!) and the reimbursement process is much faster than I anticipated. If you’re on the fence about pet health insurance I highly, highly recommend this company - their customer service reps are amazing and have been great answering my endless questions!

Healthy Paw is the best!

I am very pleased with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. The no lifetime limit helped me to decide to go with them and with one of our dogs it has literally been a lifesaver. The app is very easy to use and claims are processed very quickly. I was especially touched when I received a hand written sympathy card after we lost a different dog to cancer.

I love the confidence I have knowing if my pet has a health problem I can assure they have the best care quickly and affordably.

Andrew is doing FANTASTIC! His knee had to wait 2 months due to Covid and all his other joints were getting sore from the offloading. He is feeling so much better ALL OVER! He would chase the ducks already if he was allowed, but he has 7 more weeks on the leash. Thank you for such rapid processing of his claims as during this time it was crucial to be able to cover his fees right away.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
