GSD needed spinal surgery

When we learned our three year old furbaby German Shephard had a spinal issue that required surgery to prevent paralysis I was very grateful for Healthy Paws. Our claims were reviewed quickly and reimbursement came faster than expected. I really thought I was going to have to fight for his surgery to be covered but there was none to be had. He is now two weeks post surgery and doing well. I am so thankful for his skilled surgeon and the peace of mind that having coverage from Healthy Paws gave me.

Healthy paws has been a huge help

Healthy paws has been extremely helpful in keeping my boxer mix puppy in the best health possible. She has had numerous weird health issues and Healthy Paws has helped to lighten the financial burden greatly.

Beyond Amazing!

The BEST! Sadly I have had to file two large claims with Healthy Paws and cannot say enough good things about them. The claims filing process is so simple and they quickly reply, pay and check up on us too! I don't know what we would have done without this policy. Peace of mind!! Best purchase. I wouldn't own a dog w/out having pet insurance.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
