Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I switched to Healthy Paws in 2018 after having another highly rated policy that I had on my other pets in the past but found the per incident deductible, lifetime limit and limited reimbursement rates disappointing. Switching to Healthy Paws was a blessing when my five and half year mixed mutt female dog recently had an emergency on a Saturday morning in early August. I'm fortunate to have an excellent animal emergency hospital close by that was able to get her in right away and start treatment for what we discovered was a blocked uretha that required surgery and a seven day stay in the ICU when it turned into a much more complicated medical issue than initially diagnosed. Scary times but she's home and doing well now. Since I've never had to file a claim with Healthy Paws they were wonderful in guiding me through what was needed to submit and file her claims to get them paid quickly. Their customer service department is by far the best I've dealt with. Kind, knowledgeable and will help you every step of the way to get your claim paid quickly. They even emailed me to see how Lea was recovering after her hospital stay and continue to do so even though it's been over a month since she came home. I highly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone looking for excellent health insurance for your furry pal.

Lea is my world and seeing her doing so well, makes my heart sing again.

Best decision ever! I did not anticipate having a two year old Ragdoll in the hospital for a week but was comforted knowing 90% of the costs would be covered by Healthy Paws. I uploaded his invoice and just a few days later had confirmation they were covering and then a direct deposit was made within 24 hours. Our precious Baxter is on the mend and I’m beyond grateful to Healthy Paws for their outstanding commitment to customer service and prompt payment. I highly recommend and have nothing negative to say whatsoever.

Healthy Paws is great and not too expensive. My husky is a typical husky, gets into everything and is very accident prone. They have given us no issues with the amount of claims we've had to file. Their claim filing procedure is extremely easy and you get your payment in approximately 10 days!
