If you decide weather your pet gets treatment because of the cost, save him, get coverage now...

Thanks for checking, Mac seems much better after his latest treatments. The Neurologist has him on a medication plan for a couple more weeks to see if he improves. Thank you Healthy Paws for being there when we need you. It’s such a relief knowing we have coverage, it takes the pressure off and helps keep our family happy. Love it but don’t like the premium increase.

I have had no issues with Healthy Paws other than now it’s increasing my premium because he’s turning one!? I’ve only filed 1 sick visit claim. I emailed asking if raising premiums every year is the norm.. still waiting to hear back. Now with all the research I’ve done, seems like they do! Not cool!! I read there’s even a class action suit against them and I guess that’s why now they are always giving the reason that it is “Veterinary expense increases”??? Sounds very weird.

Wouldn't own a dog without it!

We have had coverage on our lab for more than 2 years now, and given his oral fixation we have had more than our share of stomach retrievals and ultrasounds. Our claims were always handled quickly and fairly. Our vet even sends the claim directly to the processing group so we don't have to touch any button and the process is completed. Great service.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
