Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our little Chihuahua/Terrier Hercules broke his leg pretty badly a few weeks ago jumping off the bed and we had to take him in for emergency treatment, followed by surgery a few days later to put a plate and screws in to repair his fracture. It was a scary, stressful and not to mention COSTLY experience. Thankfully, we have Healthy Paws insurance for Hercules! This was the first time we've had to file a claim and the process was so easy - just upload a picture of our invoices from the vet and send over his medical records. That's IT! Our claims were processed within a week and we received payment yesterday. On top of which, the Healthy Paws team has kindly reached out to check on Hercules and make sure he's doing well. The bill came out to around $15,000. I was skeptical that they wouldn’t actually cover it since it was so much. The process for submitting the claim was very easy and it took about a week to make a decision. Healthy Paws ended up covering 80% of the claim with no hassles! I’m very grateful for Healthy Paws because without the insurance I don’t know if it would’ve been possible for Millie to have the surgery and care she needed. The only hassle is that you have to pay the bill first and Healthy Paws will reimburse you later, in some cases that may not be possible because of the cost. Overall I’m very happy with the company and ended up purchasing another policy for my 10 month old border collie.

Healthy paws has been extremely helpful in keeping my boxer mix puppy in the best health possible. She has had numerous weird health issues and Healthy Paws has helped to lighten the financial burden greatly.
