They are there when you need them
About 1 year ago we purchased a chocolate Lab puppy we named Kady. About 4 months after bringing her home we found that she was limping...limping was more pronounced after exercise. After reviewing the X rays the vet believed that the limping was the result of normal growing pains that would pass in time.
Well time passed but the limping didn't. We eventually saw a veternairy orthopedist who took additional X-rays and diagnosed Kady as having Elbow dyslpasia in both of her front elbows and severe arthritis.
Between the X rays and surgery (completed 2 weeks ago) Kady's bills were over $5000.
I have become a bit of a cynic over the last number of years especially of the insurance industry.... so I was anticipating difficulties with coverage, limits, condition etc.....to my surprise Healthy Paws promptly issued checks for the amount we were entitiled to according to her policy. They have also been kind enough to check in with us regarding her condition.
I am amazed and impressed by the way they do business and their concern for our pets. I cannot say enough good things about them and how they treated us and Kady. We have hope that Kady will finally get to be the puppy and adult dog she could not be previously due to her condition.
Thank You Healty Paws!

Can't recommend Healthy Paws enough!!
If you happen to be debating getting pet insurance, this story is for you. Last week Hilde woke up not herself – super sluggy, drooly, just looking miserable. We took her to our vet and they decided she should stay overnight due to her rapidly increasing fever. After a whole myriad of tests they discovered she had a nasty case of bronchitis. She's on her way to a full recovery but Will and I would be seriously hurting if we were on the hook for the whole bill.
We pay $33/month for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and they have reimbursed ~90% of our vet bills. We're only paying ~$200 of a $1500 bill for two days of intensive care and lots of iv fluids, meds, and tests. On top of that they have already cleared our claim, so we should have the check by the end of the week. Seriously can't recommend these guys enough!!

Exactly as advertised
After doing a decent amount of research, I decided on Healthy Paws and am very satisfied with my choice. So far I have been reimbursed exactly as they said they would. No questions asked - if my pet has had any vet needs, they have covered it (aside from the basic visit and vaccines, which they are clear about not covering). My Boston Terrier has unfortunately had a few more colds and issues than we would have hoped for in her first few months, but luckily Healthy Paws has made this much more bearable on the wallet!

Healthy Paws Is the best!
When I got my dog, I didn't think I needed medical insurance since she was only 12 weeks old. However, after listening to my friends about their vet bills I decided to check into getting medical insurance for my dog. After much research, I'd concluded that Healthy Paws was the best. They only take the deductible once a year, (like my medical insurance), where other insurances take a deductible with every bill submitted. Plus, Healthy Paws gave me a choice of how much % reimbursement I wanted.
I've had to use Healthy Paws twice now when my dog hurt her knee. As time when on, the pain became progressively worst, it was painful for her every time she wanted to play ball, run, and she was unable to go kayaking with me.
The vet started Bailey a less intrusive treatment with numerous Adequan shots and was put on Dasuquin tablets. The Adequan shots were about $90 each twice a week for 8 weeks. While getting the shots, Bailey was able to play like she always did, but it didn't last long. She started limping again and I could tell the pain was getting worst.
Finally, it was determined that surgery was the way to go since my dog is only 4 years old. She needed major surgery. A stainless steel plate was implanted on to her knee and thigh bone to stabilize the joints. Then she would need 6 - 8 weeks of physical therapy in addition to medication during her recovery.
The surgery cost over $5,000. If it weren't for Healthy Paws, I would have to take a loan out or set up a payment plan. But thanks to Healthy Paws I was reimbursed 90% within a couple of weeks and I was financially stressed free. As a result, I was able to concentrate on helping Bailey heal.
Thanks Healthy Paws you are the greatest!
