I have had the insurance for almost 2 years when Buford was hit by a car and I had to rush him to the emergency room. He had a fractured pelvis. I submitted my claim online, which was totally easy. I submitted the documents they requested, they volunteered to help me with others and in short order they approved my claim and a check was in the mail to me. They were very thoughtful in asking about Bufords condition in a personalized emails. I was very impressed with their professionalism and kindness. Thank you for making a difficult situation better

Even better than my human health insurance!
I had only signed up for Healthy Paws (after extensive research and comparison) a month or two before my puppy ingested something and needed emergency surgery. It was SO EASY to just upload my claim via their phone app (just take a photo of it, that's it!), and within a week I had a reimbursement check in hand. No disputes, they covered everything they said they would! And they even followed up with me to check on how my puppy was doing. I wish my human health insurance was this easy!!Side note, when my kitty got sick and I submitted my claim to them, they contacted me because I had forgotten to have my previous vet send them his medical history (we moved last year). They offered to call my previous vet to get the necessary paperwork, saving me time and hassle - who does that?!

Didn't have to think twice, totally worth it!
Our 3.5 year old schnauzer mix, Max, developed a lump in the corner of his eye a few weeks ago. We immediately brought him to the vet, did a round of antibiotics, and got a quote for a lumpectomy and biopsy in the event that the antibiotics didn't clear everything up (claim 1). Unfortunately, the lump didn't clear up, so we started pro-op blood testing and scheduled the lumpectomy (claim 2 & 3). Especially since HealthyPaws developed their app, our claims experience could not have been simpler. We literally logged into the app, snapped a photo of our itemized bill for each visit and waited to hear from them. After the second claim when through, we received word from a customer service rep, Sabrina (who was fantastic), that they needed Max's medical records. She said we could email her the medical records and anything else related to Max's illness, and she would handle everything from there on out. We submitted Max's records and our last claim (3 in just 3 weeks) the night of Max's surgery, and by the next day were told that our check for 90% of the cost of his procedure was in the mail. With a $50 deductible, and over $800 in vet costs in just 3 weeks, we were seriously relieved! My fiance and I first bought pet insurance because of experiences our friends and family had where high emergency medical costs were sometimes life or death questions for young, otherwise healthy pets. We never wanted to be in that situation, so we did our research and found HealthyPaws. We couldn't be happier with their service and coverage, and have never looked back.

Puppies and the crazy things they will eat!!!!!
Our 14 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel "Bentley" certainly gave us quite a scare when finding out he had eaten the metal clips off an ace bandage, After returning home from dinner, we saw he had unraveled the bandage and the clips were missing. We found one clip mangled and the other totally missing. We paniced and called our vet at 10:00 P.M. on a Friday night. He told us to bring Benny in right away and he would be x-rayed and examined. Sure enough, good advise. His tummy lit up and showed many pieces of sharp metal. We had to leave him overnight while they bulk fed him. What a terrible feeling leaving our beautiful puppy who seemed fine, but we knew better. The following day he was released an had expelled quite a bit of the metal, but we still needed to watch him. Healthy paws insurance was a life saver. We were able to concentrate on our pet and not be overwhelmed with the anxiety of the financial part of this accident. Thank you Healthy Paws for being so efficient and helping ease the burden of vetenarian bills. Thank You Thank You again and again....Debbie and Bob

Absolutely Wonderful!
I cannot say enough good things about Healthy Paws! I've had a bad experience with other insurance companies not reimbursing any of our claims, but so far we've been reimbursed for all non pre-existing conditions, and it's been super helpful.
Our dog was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor and needed a couple surgeries to remove enough margins, because the location of the tumor was difficult to properly extract. After two surgeries, we were so pleased with the ability to be reimbursed 80% of the money we had to spend on our precious pup.
The customer service is also spectacular. I highly recommend Healthy Paws!
