Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I am so grateful to have this insurance company! Our American Bulldog Odin,needed to have surgery done on his leg (luxating patella)the cost of the x-rays the pain medication and the surgery itself ($5,350.00) was all covered at 90% filing a claim was never a problem, the checks always arrived on time and there was always someone available to speak with for any questions I had. I can safely say the we will always be a Healthy Paws family.

You never expect to use insurance, but when your pet is in distress - you need care options. With the extensive procedures that two of my dogs have gone through, I have not been gouged with higher premiums or threat of being dropped. One dog was in the ICU for 2 weeks fighting tetanus - $30k. I couldn't put that on a credit card for reimbursement. Healthy Paws worked with the University for direct payment. Maintenance care for chiropractic alignment and other therapies are covered, and what a noticeable difference it makes for him being a tripawed. I could speak volumes about the people at Healthy Paws - the way they assist you, process claims quickly and send your pet get well cards. I only wish my health insurance was as good and non-complicated as my pets insurance is. If I could find a vet to treat me, maybe I could switch over :) I wish they had information handouts to pass out to others.

So far have had 3 claims with this company and each time they have been processed and checks sent within 1 week! They are easy to get hold of on the phone or via email. The website is easy to use. They even emailed me after the claim to make sure our Frenchie was feeling better! Would totally recommend this company to anyone.

My claim was processed very quickly and paid very quickly. They don't disqualify and not cover things like my own insurance does. I wish my own health insurance was this good. Having the insurance takes the money worries out of the equation and lets you focus on what is best for your pet.I would never go without it and Healthy Paws is great.

We signed up for Healthy Paws when we adopted out Lhasa Apso four years ago from the Humane Society. While it is true for 4 years we paid the premium without any real benefit out of the blue she ruptured a disc in her back. What a blessing it was when we took her to emergency and they had to do an MRI ($2500) and then surgery (almost another $2500) we could just say yes and bring her back to health without worrying about the money. Everything was covered at 90% just as they said they would. It was the best investment in the health of our fur baby.
