Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I am so very thankful that I have chosen Healthy Paws for pet insurance! The coverage is OUTSTANDING. My 5 1/2 year old dachshund has had 2 major surgeries in less than 3 months. One surgery on his neck and the other on his back. Each surgery was over $5000 and Healthy Paws has reimbursed me 90% for both!!! I honestly don't know what my options would've been without their support and amazing coverage. I have told everyone close to me who has a pet about Healthy Paws. Thank you, Thank you Healthy Paws!

After I went through the initial cost/benefit analysis and decided that it was worthwhile to get a policy for my pure bread Bengal Cats. I have been very happy with Healthy Paws. In the past two years, my premiums have remained the same and I have never been denied coverage for the claims that I have submitted and the customer service is the gold standard that many other companies should strive to achieve. I come home from the vet, scan my vet bill, email the claims department w/attachments, and with the same day I get an acknowledgement and depending on time of day, I get a settlement form with the amount that will be covered that same day, within a week (7 days) I get a check in the postal mail. I am very pleased. In 2013 - my premium 395, 721 in claims, 312 in reimbursement. I cant say enough, even if I 'self insured', to put my premium in a savings account, I would have been out of pocket this year and I would not have had the peace of mind, knowing that while my cat was undergoing a medical issue, I did not have to weigh out whether I could afford to continue with the diagnosis and treatment of an accident/illness. I no longer have to worry about 'what if' and can concentrate on getting my pet well, simply because I have insurance coverage for my pets. I was with another carrier for three years and every year my premiums would increase. The first year, it was less than 10% so I thought that is reasonable, but the third year it increased by 50%. We have 2 Corgis and have been insured with Healthy Paws for over two years. During this time our Corgis have had the following surgeries: ACL repair, two back surgeries (one for each dog) and eye surgery. Had it not been for Healthy Paws, this would have cost me thousands of dollars. Instead I paid only my yearly deductible ($50) and 10%. Healthy Paws customer service is THE BEST I've ever experienced. They are very quick to process claims (the eye surgery claim was processed in less than 24 hours). The other claims were processed within 48 hours and I received the checks within 2 days. The staff is courteous, professional and they truly care about your pets. Make sure you get your beloved four-legged friends' health insured by Healthy Paws. You will be glad you did!

Great plan, incredible customer service. I had another company's policy with my previous dog, and it's night and day. Healthy Paws looks for ways to accommodate you, as opposed to looking for ways to deny coverage. And I literally have a check in my hand within a week of the veterinarian visit. I recommend this company to all my pet-owning friends without hesitation. Now, if they'd only offer HUMAN insurance... ;-)

We are relatively new to Healthy Paws, but already we have had a great experience! My vet recently removed a suspicious growth on my dog's ear (it was benign thankfully) and our experience afterward with Healthy Paws was fantastic. The claim submission process was easy and efficient. The company sent a personalized email to check on my dog's recovery. The reimbursement came lightning fast...I have only had experience until now with human insurance companies and expected a long, drawn out process. This was the exact opposite. I highly recommend this company without any reservations.
