Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

When our elderly family dog, Daisy, became acutely disabled with pneumonia, Healthy Paws was there working with the emergency Vet hospital, reviewing records and covering the claim. We did the entire process via the iPhone app and the fax at the Vet, making it go quick and easy. We were reimbursed within a week, and they even covered the special medication from the compound pharmacy!

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is worth every penny - do not waste time and purchase it! We have both of our dogs on Healthy Paws for years (after being on a different one) and most of the time we didn't use it all - but hey, that's what insurance is. This year however we have had to unfortunately use the insurance and I can't even begin to share how wonderful the entire experience is - from the best customer service representatives, to the speedy claims being processed and paid there is no better pet insurance out there. They just came out with an app for both Apple and Android and as soon as you get that big bill from the vet, snap a picture and submit the claim and you'll have a check within a week; I wish human insurance was like that! Our dog is on the road to recovery and we know that no matter what is needed to help our little pup there will be no worries because we not only have pet insurance, but the best one out there! Healthy Paws has been amazing for me and my dogs. One of my dogs was having seizures starting about a year and a half ago, and Healthy Paws was quick to pay all of my claims. Then, my dog was diagnosed with diabetes and Cushing's Disease, which both require a lot of ongoing testing and medications to treat. Eventually, my dog developed cataracts and just had cataract eye surgery to remove those, which was about $5500 total. Healthy Paws has always paid out my claims very quickly (the claim is usually processed by the next day and I have my check reimbursement a couple days after that). I have never had any problems with them paying any claims, and the couple times that I did have to call in to clarify a claim, they were extremely easy to work with and even willing to call my vet or vet specialist to get the needed information so my claim could be processed as soon as possible. I seriously do not know what I would do without Healthy Paws. It has been a lifesaver with my dog that has had so many problems (seizures, diabetes, Cushing's Disease, and cataracts), and thanks to Healthy Paws, she is a happy little girl that you would never know anything was wrong with her (unless you were around for medication time). I highly recommend Healthy Paws and could not ask for more from a pet insurance!

My schnoodle, Penny, stopped eating and drinking water on July 3rd. She also was vomiting a whitish liquid. We took her to a 24 hour emergency vet hospital. They took xrays and did an ultrasound. They kept her overnight, and she finally started eating the next day. We took her home on the night of July 4th. It was easy to submit my claim to Healthy Paws, and I received a check for her just a few days later.

My miniature schnauzer showed signs of difficulty urinating, called the emergency hospital and was told to bring her in which we did.. Testing was done and showed she had a bladder stone which was passed via catheter. The next day she had an appointment with her regular vet for a follow up. Both claims from the emergency hospital and her vet were processed within 5 days. I was very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend this insurance.
