Choose Healthy Paws!

Healthy paws is an excellent choice. I adopted my dog about four months ago and three months after adopting her she needed massive spinal surgery because she had begun going paralyzed in her hind legs. I am so happy I choose healthy paws as my insurance upon adopting her. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful and they processed my claim incredibly quickly. I received the check for my reimbursement just one week after the surgery. A week or two after the surgery they even emailed me checking up on my dog to see how she was feeling. My experience with healthy paws has been a great one, and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you healthy paws!

Awesome Insurance! Awesome Customer Service!

Healthy Paws is amazing! I insured my Siberian Husky (Akira) after devastating medical bills with another Husky I owned years ago and said I would never have a dog without having insurance. Best decision I ever made! Akira ate a rock that got lodged in her small intestine, requiring emergency surgery and Healthy Paws was there with me every step of the way to ensure everything was taken care of so all I needed to worry about was getting my dog better. I have encouraged my family and friends to get pet insurance with Healthy Paws so they can have the same peace of mind that I have! I had four claims, totaling around $5,000 and received reimbursement checks today in the mail. She doesn't even have her stitches out yet and I've already received my money back. WOW! That is some incredible service. :-) Akira is doing fantastic and is finally back to her old self, eating, playing and singing! I can't tell you how reassuring it was to be able to tell the Vet to do whatever they needed to get her healthy and not have to worry about being able to pay for it. When I was at the Vet, I was talking with the Vet Techs who have other insurance for their pets and when they heard how comprehensive my policy is, how little I pay and how fantastic the customer service is at Healthy Paws, they all said they were switching their insurance. I don't blame them! I spent days comparing all the companies and know I picked the best one for my pet. Healthy Paws emailed me during Akira's recovery to make sure she was doing better and to see if there was anything they could do. They were genuinely interested in her well being. Every contact I've had with them, either by phone or email has been phenomenal. Truly, the best customer service EVER!

These guys are the real deal!

My husband and I have 3 fur babies, Pekoe is our lil boy cat. He wandered into our garage and our hearts one night and we fell in love with him immediately. We were horrified to discover that he had a "lesion" inside his mouth, if you have a cat you know they aren't real willing to let you see inside their mouths, it was discovered by his vet during his yearly checkup. The vet said he must be in pain, although he didn't really have any way of letting us know. The vet determined that all but 2 canines would have to be pulled due to severe dental disease. The cost would be around $1000.00. We submitted the bill to Healthy Paws, but did not have an exam during the past 30 days, or the 15 day waiting period, Haley went through all of his vet records and was able to pay our claim after finding that he wasn't quite as old as originally thought. If she had not gone the extra mile, we would have missed having the claim paid by 4 days.........we were overjoyed at the news, and the great customer service we received from Healthy Paws! They are for real you guys, this was a totally unexpected very large bill for my family and even though we would have found the money somewhere, it was a godsend to have the claim paid instead. Thank you Healthy Paws, from Pekoe, Shiloh, Blue Sky and Mom and Dad Dozier!

Exploits Loopholes to deny coverage

My experience with Healthy Paws was NOT positive. I am proactive in my discussions with my vet about my dog's welfare and will ask questions about the smallest things. My vet keeps meticulous notes for reference. Well our discussion over what we thought at the time was an insect bite on my dog was exploited by Healthy Pets to decide that it represented a preexisting condition. This in light of the fact that is was not until much later that a decision for more extensive testing and leading to an actual diagnosis was completed. So first claim denied and any future claims for any type of tumor, even though they are usually unrelated conditions, would also be denied. So if you are proactive and have a vet who is conscientious in record keeping, then beware of Healthy Pets insurance. They will exploit the smallest detail to deny a claim.

Puppy Vision Surgery

Paisley had eyelashes growing into her eyes which required surgery to correct. Submitted bills and they paid for most of it. Total out of pocket for me was $1050 I believe, and I got a check for $718. The exam fee wasn't covered and our vet had a pricey one ($200). I was happy, zero hassle, very easy. I spent 5 seconds uploading bill and received email within 24 hours each time.
