Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We got insurance for the two of our cats and didn't use it in a while but once we needed it for an emergency and there was nothing better than not worrying about the cost of hospitalization and all the best care that can be given to our cat. It put our mind at ease during a stressful situation where we needed to worry more about our cat's health rather than the money.. They provided the reimbursement quickly and without any trouble! We had a deductible and the examination fee is not covered, but with our plan 80% of the rest was covered! That was over a $1000 for a $1800 bill. Thank you Healthy Paws!

Signing up for Healthy Paws was the best decision I have ever made for my dog. We signed up for insurance years ago, before she was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis. Since then, they have not only covered years of natural treatments (laser therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, hydrotherapy), but they have also covered her total hip replacement in full. I’ll be getting reimbursed for 90% of the cost of the procedure, which is the reimbursement level I chose upon enrollment. I would have had a very difficult time affording all of the care she’s received without them. They’ve also covered the occasional stomach virus, tick-borne illness, etc. as well as diagnostic bloodwork when needed. I will say, getting coverage for diagnostic bloodwork can be a little more work, as you do need your vet’s notes to prove that it’s diagnostic, as opposed to routine. I wouldn’t say that it’s difficult at all, just a few phone calls and you’re good. I really cannot recommend Healthy Paws highly enough. The claims process is not difficult or stressful in any way, even for the large surgical claim we just made. The app allows you to do it all on your smart phone. Healthy Paws has truly been a lifesaver for us.

I am so happy we got Healthy Paws for our dog. I never would have thought he would tear his ACL before the age of two. He needed a major surgery that ended up costing almost $6,000. Luckily we had signed him up for Healthy Paws when we got him as a puppy and they covered 80% of the costs. This whole experience has been very stressful but Healthy Paws pay for the majority of the costs has taken a huge weight off of our shoulders.

Best insurance out there, they paid back promptly, don’t need to fill out any insurance claims, just submit a bill through their app, super fast, claims usually processed in 1 or 2 days, when my dog had an emergency they agreed to pay upfront also. Best experience. Very professional and truly care about your dog.

My experience with Healthy Paws has been nothing short of amazing. Insurance companies are typically known for bad customer service and exploiting loopholes to not pay out claims. Well, healthy paws is nothing like that. They have pleasantly surprised me from day 1. Not only are their policies fair and affordable, they are also great at customer service. They have paid out several claims for vet emergencies, including the most recent one for an ultrasound and many tests for my dog’s stomach issues. A couple days after entering the claim and when they processed it they reached out to me to check in on my dog’s progress! Not even my medical insurance company check up on me lol. Healthy Paws reimburses me on time (fast) each time. They are definitely the company to go with for peace of mind knowing your pet will be able to get best medical service around.
