An unexpected eye issue abruptly came upon my little dog, Coco Chanel. This eye issue & surgery came out of nowhere. All said and done it cost about $2,500. Thankfully I had Healthy Paws as my pet insurance. Great place! After my deductible was met, within a week, I reimbursed $1,026. It’s something to alleviate the financial stress.They are always there to answer any questions and help you along with any of your claims. Claims are paid out quickly and without issue. Truly owe my dog's life to Healthy Paws
I can't possibly list all the ways Healthy Paws has helped me in a short review, but here are the highlights. My dog has suffered 4 types of cancer over the past 4 1/2 years. Two of those diagnosis required surgery (amputation, intestinal resection) and one could only be diagnosed through an MRI and treated with specialized radiation only available at WSU. As you can imagine, these major procedures added up in a hurry, but also involved numerous ultrasounds, x-rays, chemo medication, and follow-up appointments. Were it not for Healthy Paws I would likely have had my dog put down with the first diagnosis, 4 1/2 years ago. I have NEVER had a claim denied, no matter how large (the most recent was $10k) or how frequent.
When researching pet insurance I found a first-person article in the Seattle Times. The writer checked out numerous options and ultimately determined that Healthy Paws had the most extensive coverage with no exclusions (only the office exam is not covered). They have absolutely lived up to their exceptional reputation.

HEALTHY PAWS IN GOOD TIMES AND BAD
After having some very expensive vet bills with our Pele I decided to get pet insurance. After reading reviews I decided on Healthy Paws. We lost our pet to lymphoma but received checks promptly from Healthy Paws.I had only had insurance for 18 months so wasn't sure how things would turn out. We had absolutely no trouble which was nice since we had just lost our beloved pet. We now have a new pet and first thing I did was get Healthy Paws Insurance. It really makes me feel good knowing we can always get him the best care.

Awesome Insurance
I've had Healthy Paws Insurance for 2 yrs and I'm so happy with it. My dog has had several surgeries in the last 2 yrs and not once they've given me a hard time with the bills . It's so convenient and fast , I'm very impressed . I wish our own medical insurances would learn from Healthy Paws. It's a relieve that no matter what my dogs need, they will get the best medical care. On top of everything they checked up on her after each surgery. Peace of Mind
We never realized how important insurance was for dogs until a couple months after we rescued our first dog, Kyle. Since only a few months old, he has struggled with terrible allergies, bouts of nonstop vomiting, diarrhea, endless trips to the vet, and adding incredible worry to myself and my wife. Thankfully, every single time Kyle has needed medication, xrays, bloodwork, emergency overnight stays, and everything in between, Healthy Paws has covered it all at 90%. When our dog has an emergency, or more common issues, the last thing my wife and I want to have to worry about is "can we afford this?" We can stand here today knowing that our backs, and our dogs, are covered each and every time by Healthy Paws. They have saved us thousands of dollars and have given us peace of mind knowing we can say "yes" to virtually every diagnostic testing to make sure our dogs are well taken care of without having to carry the full load of some hefty vet bills. A small premium each month and a low deductible is well worth the comfort of knowing our best friends are covered for life.

Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.

Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*

Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
