I was given incorrect information about the price. I was told it would be $XX per month, but I found out the actual cost would be twice that amount. I canceled my request.

Very good service!
Spoke to Aileen A today to set up a plan for my young lab mix who loves to eat everything and has already got us into the ER a couple times at just over 6 months old. She was very good at explaining the plans and how they all work and was very patient!

Will definitely shop for a new insurance. I just received a notice that my dogs insurance will increase from $230 to $320 because of “rising cost in the area” and that I wasn’t notified in January when my declaration page is updated due to “system error”. So convenient that I received this notification 6 weeks after Trupanion had to pay out several thousands of dollars for her surgery. This is not the first big jump in price. I originally paid $100 when I first got her at 6 weeks and now they are expecting over $300 a month and she hasn’t even turned 4 yet. I had even altered the percentage covered to try and keep prices affordable. Extremely disappointed!!! Seems even more suspicious as I said earlier….6 weeks after an expensive procedure you want to up her rates!?!?

Trupanion raised my rate within 30 days for no reason. We cancelled immediately. I did not want to deal with this type of company that would dollar someone to death. Done and goodbye.

Healthy Paws Insurance Making Gold Standard Care Possible
I've had Healthy Paws Insurance for my dog Akiva for several years. Most recently we needed to make a claim for his emergency surgery when his urethra became prolapsed. A surgery and hospitalization bill that would cost just under $4,000. Because of Healthy Paws I never have to worry about the financial aspect to determine our treatment/care options. Healthy Paws is quick to process reimbursement(s) within a few days and very easy to submit a claim through their app. We are truly grateful!

Coverage shouldn't feel like a battle
What Embrace Does Well: The customer-facing staff are polite and responsive. The policy options seem comprehensive at first glance, and onboarding was straightforward. I had hope that this would be a reliable safety net for my pets. Where It Falls Short: The claims process has been exhausting and deeply frustrating. What I didn't anticipate was being made to feel like I have to fight for coverage I'm already paying for — at every level, including underwriting. The exclusions are overbroad, and the burden of proof falls entirely on the pet parent, not the insurer. I have spent an enormous amount of personal time and energy trying to ensure my pets receive the care they deserve. It has been so consuming that I've had to set aside other matters. That level of stress is not what anyone signs up for when purchasing pet insurance. What They Could Improve: Embrace needs to reconsider how its claims and underwriting process treats its customers. A pet insurance company should be a partner in your pet's care — not an adversary. The current process feels combative rather than supportive, and that needs to change. Broaden your approach to coverage, reduce the unnecessary burden on policyholders, and back up the pleasantries with a process that actually reflects care

Prompt Service
Healthy Paws always processes claims promptly. Some of their exclusions can be a bit frustrating and my biggest complaint is they will not review estimates, so it can be stressful to be confronted with vet bills without knowing what will be covered. It would be great to be able to call and ask if a particular procedure is covered. But all a client is told is, "Get the procedure and submit the bill and we will let you know."
