The process is straight forward

The process is straight forward. I've had no issues to date. I have 4 cats on the plan and having this insurance is very helpful and does give me some peace of mind. Thank you. Minor H.

Avoid Pets Best

Avoid Pets Best. Dealing with their claims department for my two German Shepherds is completely exhausting. Both dogs have chronic hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis. Despite their treatments being identical for over a year, Pets Best demands a mountain of repetitive medical records every single week. Their system is total chaos: • Denials & Delays: Denied coverage for simple acupuncture/B-12 injections -mentioning aquapunture according with tehm, but B-12 is free, no cost, they deneid $180/pet and took over 9 months to reimburse an Arthramid injection. • Portal Mess: Flooded with duplicate claims that suddenly drop to ZERO due to internal administrative errors. • Incompetence: My dogs see world-class vets at UC Davis Veterinary Hospital. Pets Best adjusters claim they "don’t understand" university billing systems and complain because both pets are itemized on the same statement. Shck wave treament treated as holistic with proven published scientific records increased mobility

So pleased...

I had been searching and searching for Pet Insurance... Every company I found was over my budget... A friend found Nationwide Pet Insurance for me... It offers everything the others offered for a lesser price... I am so happy...

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I stand by my statement to NOT use Pets Best Pet Health Insurance. First off, you CANNOT login without having a verification of your identity using either your email or phone number. The problem is, choosing either option does NOT get you any closer to verification as you will never receive a code. I just got my appeal back from them. They stand by their argument that my cat ingesting something on an unknown date is a PRE-EXISTING CONDITION! I requested the cancellation of all my policies with them after this. That was over $6,000 for a surgery that will not be covered because a vet tech put an approximate date in his file when the date was unknown and refused to correct it. Also, shame on Veterinary Healthcare Associates in Winter Haven, FL for not correcting their mistake. #DoBETTER

I havent used the insurance but it seems expensive/ preexisting exclusions

I havent used the insurance, the shelter I adopted my dog from said it was active and I should continue it. But it doesn't pay for any preventives as far as I can tell, and the shelter papers said the dog has a bunch of health issues already. None of which the vet can find. So if any of those things come up won't they be considered preexisting conditions and won't be covered? I did try to use it once when the dog tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasma and needed antibiotics. But the vet said it isn't an insurance card that they process and I would need to send the receipt in to the company. In the meantime I was paying over $80 a month and now it seems it's gone up over $100 a month so I'm probably going to cancel it. They send a lot of emails but I don't see how it's helping my dog's health or my expenses any. Just paid $400 for a checkup and vaccine boosters, I'd rather save my money towards vet care I guess
