I have had Trupanion for my puppy since his very first vet visit.
I have had Trupanion for my puppy since his very first vet visit. The transparency is wonderful, and if I have questions, the live chat always has someone helpful to clarify. Due to some catastrophic events that we never could have anticipated, we've had to take our boy to the vet multiple times. This insurance has saved us over $3000+ in his first year alone. If you're on the fence about whether or not you need insurance, this is your sign: get Trupanion.

Previous surgery my dr told me it was knee surgery you said it was knee and knee cap surgery in which my vet said he would write a letter saying it was 1 surgery.

I am trying too appeal but I have a reading disorder and am slow. I’m a cashier at thee biggest grocery in the state. I use to ask people buying dog food if they had insurance for their pet, but I have stopped until my issue is resolved. If it’s resolved with anything less then my second charged dectuble refunded. If it’s resolved with 0 dollars, I will reverse my decisions with my customers and denture then from signing up with you.

The coverage was great the first year we had our dog when she had some intestinal issues that needed to be sorted out but I was assured our rate would not be raised simply because we needed to use it (the whole point of insurance).
The coverage was great the first year we had our dog when she had some intestinal issues that needed to be sorted out, but I was assured our rate would not be raised simply because we needed to use it (the whole point of insurance). However, our rate has been raised twice by quite a decent amount while family & friends who have Trupanion and have dogs of similar age/ breed and haven’t had to file for coverage have NOT had their rates raised at the same percentage. We were told it was because of rising veterinary care, but if that were the case, wouldn’t everyone’s rate go up the same percentage? Three years in, and we are now paying almost a full 25% more than we were the first year.
