Embrace Pet Insurance
Our first time needing to use our Embrace Pet Insurance .. excellent experience! Easy to use and I was reimbursed the appropriate amount within 48 hours. Highly recommend!

Honest Review
Let me start off by saying they are a competitive and legitimate company. However their claims process is very long and your first initial claims are handled poorly. Your claims are also handled depending on how competent the staff is which in my experience is a very minor few know what their doing. I was told so many contradicting things by agents and made me extremely stressed and questioning why I bought this insurance. However through all the hassle and wait time I went through my claims were eventually approved. My pets medicine is also approved which is a big help. I'm concerned on where my rate is gonna go when my policy is up for renewal as I don't have full trust in this company with terms of that. I feel they might lure you in with a lower price to be stuck with a higher one later on yet I cannot speak to this yet but have heard stories that the rate increase was high. I want to note when signing up it was agreed to a 21 day processing time, but then changed to 39-45 days average time for processing. I'm not sure that is all that fair to the customer. I also made sure to provide all documentation needed for my pet from when adopted with all vet records on file and still had long processing times. When I spoke to an agent pets bets told me they didn't have this information and I had to resubmit all my documents, further taking away my trust. Again, All my claims have been approved so my rating is solely based on compensation and their plans. They have the highest reimbursement limits, lowest deductible, and lowest annual cost. But processing time and customer service needs work, for transparency to customers and to gain faith their protected. Im going to see where my policy goes and get a good idea how this policy will hold up in the long term with more time. Hopefully they gain my trust and faith I can keep long term.

Great Service
`My golden retriever pup developed foreleg deformaty as he developed. He began limping and after a a visit with a specialist it was determinened that he required surgery on both forelegs. I was somewhat sceptical with trupanion insurance as I felt they would behave as a typical insurance company and find a way to wiggle out of coverage. Man was i shocked to find that trupanion had authorized the work before I had even left the Vet clinic. By the time I got home they had emailed me explanation of the coverage, deductable etc. They then followed up with a phone call asking if i needed further assistance and giving well wishes for my pup. I was amazed. Not what I expected. Thanks Trupanion for the oustanding support. I am impressed. I'd give 10 stars if that was an option Dale Emerson

My puppy was very sick, and had a pretty expensive bet bill. Within two weeks of submitting my claim, I was reimbursed. It’s comforting to know when you pay for a plan, they’re there when you need them, and within a reasonable amount of time.

Temporary exclusions become permanent
We use Embrace for our cats. It has covered our older cat that had hyperthyroidism well, but beware of previous conditions. They have “temporary exclusions” which they say will go away after a year, but they have refused coverage on these conditions even after the temporary exclusion has expired. This has been the case with elevated liver enzymes, conjunctivitis, and upper respiratory infections for both my older cat and my two one year old cats. This might be the norm in the industry, but I find their advertising of “temporary exclusions” underhanded and dishonest.

very disappointed
very disappointed, I been a customer for 6 years, my dog is 6, I knew the plan would go up each year, for the 2021 year it was 42.09, for Jan. and Feb ot was 42.27, now my bill for March is 72.47, an increase of 30.20. I am retired on fixed income that increase is way to much, just remember when you first get the insurance its not to bad but every year it will go up, my dog is ony 6 years old by the time he reaches 10 years old it could be over a 100.00 amonth

Used the preventative care coverage, to get Daisy Mae her puppy vaccinations. Everything worked just as advertised, and our refunds came in quickly and easily to our bank account.
