When I signed up for Auto and Tenant…
When I signed up for Auto and Tenant insurance two years ago, I took a risk with a 100% online insurance company lured by better rates. Well even though I had zero claims, no missed payments and driving less because of Covid, Sonnet increased my premiums by a staggering 15% year over year in 2021. When I enquired as to why, they cited a BS reason that all Mercedes premiums went up because of more electronics. Well my Mercedes had no more electronics than it did two years ago. They then said that if I wanted a lower premium, then I should lower my coverage amounts. Needless to say, this was nothing more than a profit grab, witnessed by an industry-wide railroading of New Brunswick insurance customers to the tune of $40 million during Covid. I stayed with them for now, I won’t next year if they do this again

ince I switched to sonnet for all my…t
Since I switched to sonnet for all my insurance needs my opinion and attitude about insurance companies has gone from very poor to extremely high. I've had nothing but great service with a professional attitude. They have gone out of their way to accommodate me in every way possible. I have and will continue to to recommend sonnet to family and friends. Thank you

They force two-factor authentication on…
They force two-factor authentication on all of their customers, but they refuse to allow customers to register more than one phone number at a time. When you speak to customer service they claim it is "for your protection". Believe it or not, there are still some people left in the world who refuse to use mobile phones. I am one of those people and I want to be able to log into my account while at home and also while at my office, but I can't do that because I'm only allowed to register ONE of my phone numbers to the account. So any time I want to log in from work, I first have to phone my house and ask my wife to answer the verification call and then call me back to tell me the 4 digit code. I'm a grown man, Sonnet. I don't need you to protect me from the big bad internet thieves. I need you to let me into the account that I pay for without forcing me to phone my wife first and ask her to write down a code. I'm a smart guy - If internet scammers are ever able to fool me, then I deserve to be robbed. Let adults make their own decisions, Sonnet. Edited to add: Sonnet's response to my review claims that they are just like my bank and Amazon. My bank does not force two factor authentication on me, they have it as an option that needs to be turned on manually, and they allow two phone numbers because they realize that most people have more than one number. They are also a completely online bank, so that pathetic excuse is also out the window. Amazon also does not force two factor authentication, in fact I don't even know where I would go in that account to turn it on. And I'm more than a little bit offended that you just tried to claim that the 2FA Verification process was difficult for me, because that proves they didn't even read my review. I never said I was having difficulty with the verification process, I said that I want to be able to register TWO phone numbers to the account (just like I can with my completely online bank).
