Great service on claims
We filed 2 claims electronically (for dental cleaning and wound care) and were notified of the results within a week. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that some parts of the dental procedure were covered as dental illness, apart from the wellness portion of coverage. When I contacted customer service about the other claim, the Embrace representative explained the results in a very friendly and satisfactory manner.

Pets Plus Us Insurance really helped us out!
Pets Plus Us insurance really came in handy when our German shorthaired pointer needed 2 TPLO surgeries. With the surgery costs to post-op appointments, to refills to physiotherapy, we were grateful to have the extra financial support during such a tough and financially stressful time. When we first got our pup, Arrow, I knew she was going to be a handful (obsessed with her ball, very hyper and loves being outside) and knew she would one day unfortunately probably hurt herself ..well I was right. 2 torn CCLs (and many many other small injuries throughout her life). Would 100% recommend investing in something like this.

Although I didn't hear back thru email after almost 3 weeks I did finally get through via phone and I was very happy with the service I received. So I highly suggest that you call and not email if you want a response.

When our dog had an unfortunate serious…
When our dog had an unfortunate serious bout of vomiting/diarrhea, it was nice to know that a good chunk of the vet costs would be picked up by Healthy Paws. It's hard enough when your pet gets sick, so having that little extra peace of mind is all the more important. The claim process was transparent and straightforward, and happily our dog is back to her normal energetic self.

The website wont allow me to log in, saying my email cannot be found although I still have the confirmation emails sent to the email they say con not be fount. Having a really hard time cancelling my account.

So grateful we chose Healthy Paws to cover our Shih Tzu. We recently found out or 21mo old pup needed major back surgery. Healthy Paws made it so much less stressful knowing we had them backing us. I called before our neurology appointment to find out what I was looking at regarding coverage. Tristan walked me through the whole process making sure I understood the terms and what would be expected of me. Because he took the time to explain it, I had all the documentation ready, uploaded it on the app and hit the submit button. Literally, 5 min. I got an email back saying they had received my claim and would review it. The first initial doc appointment for diagnosis requested the doctor’s chart. Completely understandable. Two days later I had an explanation of benefits and funds in my account that night. After surgery, same thing, 2 days and it was all taken care of. Great people to work with and so caring. I even got a follow up email from Stephanie and Tim asking how Watson was doing a week after major back surgery! It wasn’t a form letter either as we communicated a couple of time back and forth. They were happy to hear we were on the mend. The app is easy to navigate, and you can change your coverage at any time. I was truly expecting the process to be like working with our medical insurance, but it was completely different. So much easier!! If only human insurance companies were as easy to use as Healthy Paws!

Horrible…
I left a high review after my experience of easily submitting a claim. What I did not count on, was how IMPOSSIBLE it would be to get my claim processed. In spite of completely submitting not only visit notes, but including an unremarkable medical history, because my puppy has never had anything other than healthy pet and vaccines, my claim was put on hold for not having medical history. Nothing I could do would change this. I could not include a history to show any prior conditions because there was none. Out of frustration, I cancelled our policy and would give 0 stars if I could. As for the reply. I can add that these people are also illiterate. There WAS NO pre-existing condition. This was a puppy that had been insured with EMBRACE for 7 months. Frankie is now a healthy 11-month-old Brittany. She was treated for ENTERITIS -- a condition you get when you eat something bad and get diarrhea! No one wanted to look at the vet notes, I guess. Each visit was listed by date as "Healthy Pet" and a corresponding date for puppy vaccinations. We have additional dates for weigh-ins because I monitor her growth. This is a case of willful denial. How can you provide information about a pre-existing condition if none existed, and the condition treated isn't predicated by one? Again, these people suck. I have a conformation dog and I want you people to know that I am spreading the word in my world to avoid your comany. Your idiotic response and lack of effort to even try to remedy the situation just proves I am right. People, don't waste your money with this coverage. It's not insurance, it is bait and switch, false advertising, a sham. And if you want to resolve it as indicated below, pay the claim. I don't have an hour to wait on hold. I gave up on that already. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Just pay 80% of my vet bill and be done with it. It was only $150. Not a lot, but apparently too much for you to want to pay.
