My daughter, a dog trainer, recommended Trupanion insurance to me when I adopted my dog from a rescue organization. I have been very happy with the service, prompt, courteous and helpful. Having insurance has eased the financial burden when Fenn developed unexpected health problems.

They keep increasing premiums
Fortunately we didn't have to submit any claims, but they keep increasing prices as your dog ages. Not small amount 20% every time.

They have the best customer service, hands down! I’m not just comparing this to other pet insurance companies, but to all other experiences I’ve had with any other businesses customer service. Claims are paid out quick and if you have a question, just call them! You will always be greeted by a friendly voice who is happy to help. They are exceptionally kind, thoughtful, and helpful. Super easy claim process
I adopted my kitten from a shelter last year and was provided a free month of pet insurance. I have never had pet insurance on my dogs, so I didn't know a lot about it. I did a bunch of research and decided to go with Healthy Paws. I honestly didn't think I'd use the insurance since my cat is so young, but a year and a half later she developed painful bladder stones which required expensive surgery. The Healthy Paws claim process was super easy, they reached out to my vet for additional records (saving me time), and my invoices were all approved. It was so easy and a huge relief that she could get the best care possible and I didn't end up with thousands of dollars in bills.

Some comfort in a stressful situation.
Trupanion has been there for us every step of the way. The vet hospital never has a problem contacting trupanion insurance. His on going condition has been very stressful but at least we can count on trupanion for a good portion of expenses and honestly with out it we would have lost or wonderful little dog Bruno.
