Everyone I've worked with over the two years that I've been with Trupanion has been excellent. They're knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful. It feels like I'm speaking with my neighbor, and not some distant phone worker. They really know their stuff! I've recommended Trupanion to everyone I know with pets. Our Vet, and veterinary surgeon recommend Trupanion, and say Trupanion is the only pet insurance that they take payment from directly.

Good coverage; Claim process confusing
I have had insurance with Trupanion for several years. Most of my experience has been very good. The only two things that I don't like are that the cost continues to rise every year and recently you've changed the portal for submitting claims to a method that is somewhat confusing and requires more, inefficient work on my part. Now, I have to enter the hospital, zip code and invoice number EVERY time I upload a receipt. Plus you don't have a specific way to provide details for a prescription, so I have entered the scrip # since there is no invoice # for a scrip.
