Doggie crisis and financial crisis averted
Our little dog Charlie ate part of a sock and we were worried that it might not pass and wanted to have her looked at immediately to keep her from danger. We had her looked at and filed the claim with Trupanion. Our claim was paid the next day! I am beyond impressed! We saved about 11 months of payments by having insurance to cover this emergency. It may seem like a waste of money to buy insurance for your pet, but if and when you need to have your pet taken in for an emergency, you will quickly find out how expensive it is and how much insurance will help you out. We all buy insurance for other things in life, why not get insurance for your pet as well. It could save you a pocketful - it did us!

Trupanion is unorganized and rude
Trupanion is unorganized and rude. After months of them not receiving my pets medical records supposedly, I stopped paying for a policy I could t use. Coverage details was always “incomplete”. I asked for a refund considering my dog was never covered and I never used it. They said okay. More months later and I still don’t have the refund. Now they act like I’m stupid for wanting a refund in an insurance policy. I’m not an idiot, if he had been “covered” instead of “incomplete” or if I would’ve received something stating his explanation of benefits or coverage being active and we didn’t use it that would obviously be a different story. I gave them my money for nothing. The original woman agreed and said I would be refunded. Today some other guy insinuated that it never happened, was condescending, flat out rude and even lied and said my dog had been covered. I have multiple screenshots where it says he wasn’t. Don’t go with trupanion!!!
