I chose this insurance bc it sounded very simple and straightforward.
I chose this insurance bc it sounded very simple and straightforward. The price I was quoted would be the price I would always pay for ¡§that¡¨ particular dog. That sounded perfect, as I was newly retired and needed to watch my budget. I chose the higher deductible of $1K so I could pay the lower monthly premium. Seemed simple and dependable. NOT! Read the extremely fine print. This is the MOST complicated insurance policy I¡¦ve ever had. After my dog had surgery for a lump on the top of her paw, I expected I would be reimbursed for the expenses (minus my $1,000 deductible). Not even close. Instead I am reimbursed by ¡§lump type!¡¨ What? Turns out she had two different types of lumps in that one incision. Still can¡¦t quite get it straight in my head how this actually works. So, instead of paying a $1K deductible for a single incision surgery, I had to pay two deductibles. Each $1,000. I¡¦m confused, annoyed, and seriously disappointed.

Hi, I am so grateful for Trupanion!!!! Thank you for covering my dogs surgeries!! One thing though, my vet did not receive the pre approval although they requested it. I sent them the copy I received.
