I’m a new pet owner December 2024 and wanted to do the right thing and get insurance so I did in January of this year but I don’t recall the representative telling me I needed to wait 15 days before the policy went into effect long story short I took my dog to the vet before the 15 days they said she has allergies so nothing pertaining to her allergies is covered because I guess it’s considered preexisting if I’ve never had a pet or insurance how was I supposed to know she had allergies so to me it seems like pet insurance is a scam and I’m more than likely will cancel my policy because she has to get a shot once a month and since I have to pay upfront why do I need the insurance?

Seriously worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY! Submitting claims is very easy and I’ve never been turned down. I’ve had this insurance for my dog since he was 11 weeks old and he’s almost 10 now and I’ve had to use it more lately, and the peace of mind of knowing I have this insurance is everything! I recommend it to literally every pet owner I know.

Civano ER in Tucsons works well with Trupanion!
I knew when I took Sierra, 2 1/2 year old Australian Shepard, to Civano ER in Tucson at 3:00 am, that Civano would work with Trupanion and Sierra would get the care she needed. Do not know why Sierra ate a rock. But the Vet Staff at Civano made sure she was as comfortable as possible during her stay. Sierra did successfully pass the rock. For which we were all grateful. I had brought Sierras sister Millie with me, as at 3:00 am I had no one to watch her. I had an appointment with a specialist in Tucson later in the morning. I was allowed to board Millie, so I could make my appointment. Long day. All went well.

Not honest
I brought my dog to the vet because she was eating grass vomiting diarrhea constipated. Tests we taken and doctor explained that she was eating the wrong food and i received a prescription for a dog food he recommended. He also gave me medication for her intestines. It cost $650. Pets best insisted it was a wellness visit.. I told them my dog got her shots for 3 years..she's 2 years 8 months. Why would I bring her in for a wellness exam. They told me to appeal a have further evidence

Second time turning in reimbursment claims
This is the second time I have had to file a claim and both times has been very easy and Ive been reimbursed in a timely manner without any problems at all. I've very happy with Fetch and plan to keep it for the life time of my two cats.
