Most affordable plans with best coverage options. Did not expect to afford to insure 9 year old dog, it is availible here, which is what sold me and also comprehensive care coverage for 4 month old puppy a real bonus.

I signed up
I signed up. They took my money. Haven’t used it yet since it’s not in force yet 2 week waiting period) and dog hasn’t needed it. End of story. Don’t know why they want me to review something I haven’t used yet?!

Trupanion Saved My Dogs Life
Trupanion is excellent. They literally saved my dogs life by paying for his huge medical bills. They pay the claims on time, the reps are so nice and dog/ animal friendly, and the website is very good. A++++++. I highly recommend. ;-)

Be sure to read your policy! The first time my dog had an illness, I had to provide the SOAP for his two prior visits (he was a puppy) to show he had no pre-existing conditions (even though what he was seen for couldn't have been pre-existing). Fine, no biggie. He had another claim since then and it was paid with no issues. Despite the two claims, there wasn't a huge increase in premiums.

My dog presented with very serious…
My dog presented with very serious symptom of not being able to use his back feet. Fortunately I have Trupanion Insurance on him and it covered everything (less my deductible and co-pay) including not only my regular vet bill, but specialists and required extensive testing. It was a huge help to me having been recently widowed and worried about any extra expenses. And best of all, my dog was healed and back to being his former happy active self.

Very nice website that explains what is and is not covered by the insurance. What I can’t find is info on the wellness plan…how much does it cost and what exactly does it cover and how to add it to my coverage. Overall my experience was great.

Horrible Customer Service
Horrible customer service. I requested change to our account and was told it would take 3-5 days. 3 weeks later company no one has reached out and company says will cancel request. I called and wait 30 minutes to speak with someone who tells me he cannot do anything. I ask to speak to a manager and when he gets on, he literally hangs up on me less than a minute into the call.
