Lightning quick service!!
During our holiday trip to florida we spent an entire day at the beach with our schnoodle, Piper. Unbeknownst to us she had ingested a lot of sand after a day of chasing balls and digging holes in the sand. After receiving excellent service from a local emergency vet (Thanks VEG!) we ended up with a very pricey bill. (Obviously we would spend whatever we needed to keep Piper healthy). Once everything settled down, I submitted my claim to Trupanion and was pleasantly surprised that my claim was reviewed the next day PLUS the funds were deposited into my account. There was no contentious back and forth - they reviewed the claim and backed up their promise of covering our vet bill per our policy! This is what I call excellent service! Thank you so much Trupanion!

Don't go without pet insurance.
Spot has been easy to work with and has great rates!! If you think it is too much money, just wait until you have a major injury or illness that you have to pay for!! Insurance gives you peace of mind. If you say your pets are like your kids, then think about it...don't you have health insurance for your kids?? lol

The benefits are great - time to reimburse - not so great
The benefits are great and the price is fair, it's just that it takes 45 days for them to process my claims and reimburse me. In my opinion that is way too long.

Healthy Paws Peace of Mind & Support
Healthy Paws has been the insurer for my standard poodle, Motley, since 2016. With Healthy Paws, I have been able to get Motley medical treatments without worrying about the cost. To date, Healthy Paws has assisted with the cost of giardia and amputation necessitated by bone lysis. The amputation occurred during the holiday season, despite the timing. Healthy Paws processed, approved, and sent out reimbursement within days. The reimbursement was in my hand within a week of the surgery date, which was doubly reassuring/appreciated given the cost. I would and do recommend Healthy Paws to anyone with a four-legged friend. For a reasonable set monthly cost, you get peace of mind, a talented team of Customer Service Representatives as questions arise, and a customizable policy based on your risk tolerance/budget.
