People rarely take the time to write good reviews. If the company does what it promises, we’ll that’s expected. I had two dogs (one has passed, unfortunately) with another insurance company. It has not been pleasant. When I got my first pet insurance policy, I really didn’t do a lot of research. Having experienced terrible customer service, lifetime limits (my fault), and up to four months to settle a claim, I did a lot of research when I got a new puppy. I chose Healthy Paws. So let me tell you about my first experience. He was hospitalized with pneumonia two weeks after I signed up with Healthy Paws. I sent them the invoice and doctors notes. The claim was settled two days (yes two days) after my submission. The money was in my account the third day. They reimbursed the exact amount that was stated in the policy. That was a year ago. I posted this experience on Facebook, and it turns out, many of my friends use Healthy Paws. They all said they had similar experiences. Over the past year, I have submitted claims for minor illnesses, and the experience is the same. The money is in my account within 7 days of submission. Given my experience with the other insurance company, it is extremely stress less and straight forward. Healthy Paws might be a little more expensive, but absolutely worth the cost. So just a little advice if you are doing research. Lifetime incident amount is critical. If your breed is susceptible to certain disorders, take that into consideration when you sign up for the lifetime limit. With my other insurance company. (I still have an old dog and I can’t take him off that policy) I had a $5000 lifetime incident cap. He is a clumber spaniel and they are prone to get hip dysplasia. He has had two operations for hirneated discs. I maxed out on the first operation. My new dog is also a clumber spaniel, so I signed on to a 25k max. Hopefully, it will be a complete waste of money. Bottom line, Healthy Paws is excellent.

Simplest and best pet insurance
Super easy! The policy is simple and the website answers all of the basic questions regarding the insurance. And calling the help line regarding a question more personalized to my situation was super fast and the employee who helped me was extremely helpful and prompt in answering my questions.

Ask questions, ask more questions!
Super easy, Peter answered all my questions and took the time to explain the difference between an accident and an incident. Important for me to understand “my”costs before the bills arrive! Love the vet via phone option, too. Customer service is all around amazing at Prudent Pet!

I had a none accident twice and…
I had a none accident twice and couldn't thank Sonnet Ins enough, they took care of me from the first call after the 1st incident to the time of getting my car fixed, set up car rental, etc than a year later another incident and same thing, they looked after everything and me couldn't say enough about the awesome way I was looked after. And my premiums didn't go up that much... 5 stars 🌟 for sure

Formerly Good, Now Useless
From 2016 to April 2020 I had a Healthy Paws policy for my late dog, Jiminy. The ease of filing claims via the Healthy Paws App and responsive customer service representatives and reasonable premiums led me to recommend Healthy Paws to several friends. I did so even after Jiminy’s premiums increased from $48 per month to $62 per month. He was an elderly dog with an increasing number of health problems so the increase seemed fair. After Jiminy passed away, I adopted another rescue dog, Daisy, and purchased a Healthy Paws policy for her. I provided Healthy Paws with all of Daisy’s veterinary records from the adoption agency and provided records of all her vaccinations and wellness checkups after I adopted her. Healthy Paws did not have to pay any claims for Daisy from October 2020 until October 2021 when she had surgery to repair a cherry eye she had developed in July 2021. When I filed the claim on October 8, Healthy Paws suddenly wanted all sorts of additional documentation. I sent the final documents, including the vet’s notes from the surgery, to Healthy Paws on October 29. On November 9, Healthy Paws sent me a form email denying the claim because 30 days had elapsed since October 8 when the claim was first filed. In the fine print on the web site it said I could refile the claim and provide all the documentation again. I wrote back to Ms Sara Bailey, the customer service rep, telling her to cancel my policy effective November 10 and requested an email confirmation that the policy had been cancelled. Three days later I still had not received a confirmation so I called Healthy Paws customer service. The rep found my cancellation email in the records.and cancelled the policy effective Nov 11. No explanation or apology for the lack of response was offered. It used to be good insurance. It isn’t any more

Very poor customer service
We bought a new house and I really needed important information about my actual insurance as well as the one for the new house. I called the customer service a few times and, after many attempts at different times of day, I was always answered by a machine that told me there were no employees available for me because of Covid. This was frustrating since no job is easier to do from home than customer service. Then, I tried to get service with the online assistants. However, I had to refresh my page/browse to get to the info as I was chatting, which made me lose connection with the employee and forced me to try agin and again. I tried both in English and French, as a francophone, but had issues getting services either way. Really, I save a bit with Sonnet but this situation almost lead us to not be able to get our mortgage on time. I'm not sure the few bucks I save are worth the stress I went through for 3 straight days.

Just Amazing
I had pet insurance for my older cat . The website was so easy to upload my vet receipts. After I hit my deductible Pete best paid 80 percent and I received the difference back to my account within a couple weeks . My cats passed away and the closed my account for me and even reimbursed a monthly amount back with a nice email about my loss . This was my first experience with pet insurance and I did a lot of research ! I found the best and was so thankful I had them until the end ! Thank you Sheri Henggeler and Bean ( forever in my heart)

I started this insurance assuming that…
I started this insurance assuming that it would pay if I had a claim. I work in insurance and know how this works. Shortly after starting my dog was stung by a bee (I didn’t know why she wouldn’t walk on her hind leg) and I took her to the vet. This should be considered a accident not pre-existing. I have not gotten anything back from this insurance and that it’s been over a month since I made the claim. I gave them three stars because I am assuming I’m going to get some of my money back from the vet visit?
