This was my first experience with…
This was my first experience with submitting a pre-authorization request. The Fetch representative, Ms. Farley, was absolutely awesome in helping me walk through the process.

Great Experience!
A big thank you to Monica for calling to follow up on a possible new plan, and for taking the time to go over all the details. In general, it has been a positive experience with Prudent Pet...claims have always been paid back promptly, the customer service reps are all great, and I love the call-back feature when on hold

Read the NEGATIVE reviews before you purchase coverage!
Read the negative reviews before you purchase coverage. It is very clear that Trupanion is very arbitrary deciding what they will and will not cover. Most people get pet insurance AFTER a vet visit and the outrageous bills that follow---Trupanion WILL NOT COVER any pre-existing condition. I verified this by reading reviews AND calling them and speaking to a rep. There are plenty of other insurers out there who are fair about their coverage. Do your research and decide accordingly.

They make it so easy to give my pets the care they need without stressing over the cost if something urgent happens. Can’t recommend enough. Claims process is absolutely painless.

Great customer service
The woman who helped me, Linda, was VERY friendly. I was ready to cancel my policy, but she explained everything to me in a very friendly way and was really helpful. She also called me back after we got disconnected, which I appreciated.

The ease of submitting a claim and the…
The ease of submitting a claim and the QUICK turn around time for those claims is great. My only complaint is that it seems, when I initially signed up for this insurance, despite thinking I got the same coverage, deductable, and max amount per year, I didn't. I now have 4 pets and none of their amounts are the same. Then I found out that, in order to make adjustments, it would completely restart their waiting period and any claims we submitted would be considered pre-existing conditions. This is very frustrating but I am stuck so I will keep the varying levels and make due. You only have 7 days to make changes!!

Choose wisely. Don't expect quick help.
Honestly, I've been really disappointed with Fetch's customer service, response time and functionality of the app + website. The app + website have had numerous log-in issues for over a year. Some of the reps I had worked with in trying to mend this would laugh and just say 'it is what it is and a lot of account are locked out' - not really helpful. It took nearly a year's time to be able to fully access and utilize my account due to technical errors on Fetch's end. Regarding customer service - I've had claims denied that were clearly new issues. The issues I see here, stemmed from the ability to upload vet records without needing a claim submission. Also, it's unclear on where to upload your first base-line records or just anything that doesn't need an actual claim submission. Think vaccines and routine care. Also, the inability to access my account added to this debacle. Needless to say I've asked for a claim to be rereviewed and it's been over 40 days without an answer or real communication. You don't get to easily work with a claims specialist 1:1 for quick resolutions. Another frustrating piece is my cat was diagnosed with diabetes about 10-11 months after my plan had started ( 4 months ago now) and after repeated emails and chats I still haven't gotten an answer on if there are any brand restrictions on glucose monitors and other supplies. I do appreciate that Fetch covers exam fees for 'sick' visits but, with all of the above it makes dealing with a sick pet just so much more stressful. The worst part is, if you decide an insurance company isn't for you - you now likely have new issues that will become 'preexisting' if you choose to go elsewhere. So making your initial decision is really important. If you're looking for true customer service and a company passionate about your pets as much as you are, I would recommend going elsewhere. But, again my best piece of advice is to thoroughly do your homework on which insurance company is best for you as it's a commitment and not something you can easily change, especially if any new issues arise with your fur baby.

Best Insurance overall
This insurance kicks in in only 14 days. It's coverage is great, it's premium is reasonable, the comprehensive list of coverage is what I was looking for. In particular, dental disease because I have Oriental Shorthair cats and my last 2 cost me thousands. I'm also really excited about GoFetch Pay!
