Best pet insurance
I couldn’t believe how easy it was to enrol in this plan and the lady helping was wonderful. She was very thorough with her explanation of the plan.

Easy Plan Sign-up
Seemed like I found the best insurance plan offered for my little Pekingese. Each plan was presented perfectly and was easy to understand. I especially like the explanation concerning pre-existing condition coverage.

This is the best insurance company I…
This is the best insurance company I ever had, in the past I have to answer so many questions and just for nothing, not even to low the price, at the end you ending up paying the same as other companies, with Sonnet is totally different, not too many questions and the best of all, ypay a lot less than other companies! I just love it!!!

Trupanion is structured to understand and provide a protection layer that my baby pet needs and deserves. It's worth the policy investment.

Well, they used to be good...
We left another pet insurance company because their claims service slowed considerably. Have with PetsBest for many years and was impressed with policy and service. However, the last few claims we had they slowed considerably in response and handling the claim. I am quite disappointed, I am not sure what has happened there to have things change so much. After waiting some time for a response, I faxed in a request to hear the status of my claim. I did not get a response and then filed a complaint with the state department of insurance. I started shopping with other companies and will change companies at the conclusion of current policies. Too bad, another good company no longer able to serve as they did in the past.

Trupanion Is A Great Solution For Low Income Pet Parents!
I would highly recommend Trupanion as a source of medical pet insurance, and especially for people who are low income or on a fixed income as there are several features that this company provides which make protecting your pet from a medical catastrophe an extremely feasible possibility. Let me explain how… Firstly, when initially setting up your policy, they provide the option to pay the entirety of your deductible in your monthly premium and select a max coverage of 90%, leaving only a 10% copay remaining to be paid at the time of the visit. And then next you can count on your monthly premium not going up with your pet’s increasing age. And then last but not least and perhaps most important to people who are low income or on a fixed income is the fact that they cover any and all veterinarians, however if you see a physician that is part of their specific network, they have the ability to take your payment from your insurance claim direct-to-vet and therefore you are not forced to first pay out-of-pocket and then wait for a reimbursable to arrive in the mail or as a direct deposit. As a person on disability who is low income and who relies on an emotional support pet, there would be many medical costs for which I would be unable to pay out-of-pocket initially in order to wait for the reimbursement and therefore having the option to have the payment made direct to the vet minus the small percentage that must be paid as a co-pay is an absolute God-send and without the possibility of a company like Trupanion, it likely wouldn’t even be possible for me to afford to have a dog or a cat - at least not without having to irresponsibly have to deny them access to the medical care and emergency treatment they may need and definitely deserve. And so even on a very low income, it should not be difficult to keep $500 or $1000 dollars in savings at all times so that even if you end up having to face some of the most expensive procedures possible for your pet which might cost as much as $5,000 or $10,000 for something complicated and surgical (and God forbid that that happen to anyone ever to begin with! But IF it did…), you would easily be able to pay the co-pay and Trupanion would cover the rest (if you select the 90% coverage and 0% deductible plan) and you would not be expected to pay something like $5,000 or $10,000 out of pocket all at once while you waited for a reimbursement. And for those of us on SSI, SSDI and fixed income retirement pensions, having extra money lying around like that to the tune of such large quantities is likely not going to be something most people in this income bracket are going to have immediate access to (if at all) nor may they be able to take a loan of this nature. And this is truly the best benefit and most helpful thing about Trupanion’s pet insurance is that it allows you to have a way to stay covered in even the most expensive and unexpected of situations! Some people may tell you that pet insurance is a waste of money or that it is a lot of money that you will spend each month that may never get used, and if you earn a lot of money annually with your income, this may be true because you might be able to pay out-of-pocket if something were to happen to your pet, but for those of us who would not be able to do that and need to be paying these large chunks in small increments over a long period of time, being able to do that through a monthly pet insurance payment plan that doesn’t have increasing premiums is the best way to do it and the best way to cover your rear end (and your pet’s!) concerning any surprise emergency vet expenses that could be unrealistically expensive and result in having to choose a horrible option like having to euthanize your pet instead if you were unable to come up with the funds that pet insurance can otherwise provide you. To me this is a completely invaluable service, and especially after having lost a dog a couple years ago to cancer due to this very situation that I was describing above. It simply was not feasible to be able to afford the cost of chemotherapy and radiation for my dog while being low income and without pet insurance, there was no choice but to have my dog put to sleep which was extremely traumatic and still saddens my whole family to this day. We have a wonderful new dog who will never replace our previous dog but is just as great of a buddy and I want to make sure that this time I can do everything to make sure that this never has to happen again. Trupanion gives me peace of mind and freedom from having to concern myself with worrying about a surprise financial catastrophe that I would not be able to afford causing me to potentially lose my fur friend again. I will always have pet insurance from here on out and I highly recommend Trupanion to everyone but especially to those who are low income, on SSI/SSDI, or on fixed income retirement plans.
