Not exactly as advertised
I am fortunate that I haven’t had to utilize my insurance as my dog has been healthy. One of the features Figl advertises is 24/7 access to a vet via internet/phone. I have tried to use that service twice and my call/DMs were never answered. Given that is my only interaction with Figo I haven’t been overly impressed. I am a new dog owner so I don’t have prior experience with pet insurance to compare Figo.

Can't payout if they say it's preexisting....
When searching for a company I noticed the number one complaint against this company on trust pilot is they deem everything a pre-existing condition. Luckily for me when I got in, I submitted a clean bill of health from the vet for my pet. Don't worry, they deemed the first problem she's ever had a pre-existing condition. Frustrated, I let it go. Now there's been two claims since. One was deemed a pre-existing condition and the other was developed from it. Good job of dodging what you claim you do.

Pumpkin insurance - A fast paying reliable pet insurance company
Pumpkin has provided my baby with great insurance coverage. His asthma has gotten progressively worse, and because Pumpkin has reimbursed my vet bills, cost is not even a consideration when I go to the vet, I can just get what they recommend. This company was amazing when we needed…
This company was amazing when we needed to use it. After our dog became very sick with Addison disease, and other issues. This company was so great with helping us not worry about the expenses and concentrate on giving her a fighting chance to live. Unfortunately, her body fought against her ever getting better, but we are grateful to be able to try everything to help her. RIP my sweet girl Charlotte.

Hard to plan routine care around your premium
It's unfortunate that we spend $1200+ per year to only have so little covered on our Bernese Mountain Dog's wellness. We have only received $135 back on over $1245 spent on care, on top of the $1200 in premiums on the dog. A total of $2400 in the 1st year of life for an overall healthy dog with no issues. Berners are sensitive breed and it seems every time we bring him in to make sure he's healthy there is an out of pocket expense. We purchased an insurance to extend his longevity with and insurance company that would be in this with us. We just found that we spent double his cost of wellness by holding the policy. They have good coverage for serious matters and god forbid we run into those challenges we hope they cover it.
