Grateful We Continued Our Coverage
We have had Trupanion insurance on our beloved 9 yr old dog since we got him. Honestly, I considered dropping it early last year since we had received very little benefit over the years....and then it happened. Our dog received a cancer diagnosis and we were able to successfully treat him while receiving coverage for close to 90% of the cost which was...substantial. He is in remission, but also suffers from an auto-immune disorder which requires ongoing treatment, drugs & tests by a specialist. Most of those costs have also been covered by almost 90% as well. I realize now that our insurance is really for catastrophic coverage and I am grateful that we were able to treat our dog successfully without worrying about the cost.
