Glad I got Pets Best insurance before I needed it!
My sweet dog needed emergency overnight surgery. My vet gave me the necessary information and I filed a claim with Pets Best online. The process was very easy, and Pets Best paid the claim promptly. My pup is healthy and fine now, and I'm really happy my dogs are insured with Pets Best!

Cost Effective Coverage, slower claim turnaround
We were covered for everything that I expected from the agreement that I signed. The only downside is a slower claim review and reimbursement turnaround time, but for the monthly rate I think this is great coverage that is affordable.

They were amazing
They were amazing. I was unsure how this would go when I filed my first claim. They paid everything quickly just like my policy said. They even refunded part of my premium when one of my cats unexpectedly died. Great company

Great Customer Support and online claim submission
Customer Support was quick to respond to my email regarding difficulty logging in; they reset my password and provided my login name in the response. Once I logged in, I was able to change my password and quickly/easily submit my claim.

Refusing to pay for a hereditary…
Refusing to pay for a hereditary condition. It's impossible to have insurance on an animal that you don't have yet. I took my new pet to my vet for a check up before I purchased insurance. Now he has a hereditary problem but the insurance doesn't want to cover it because he had it before insurance went into effect. It's a hereditary condition he was born with.

You Will Not Be Reimbursed
Was provided with emergency medical coverage from the shelter that we adopted our puppy from, free for 30 days. I am SO happy we went with another company for continued care as we had not one but two emergency claims with our puppy that needed medical attention and support, which cost over over $300 for one trip and $400 for the next, and after Trupanion accepted both claims, with a $250 deductible and 90% paid claim, we will receive a total of $2.04 for the +$700 spent on emergency illness. It is not a scam in the fact that they do process all claims, but it is a scam in that they find every loophole to not pay anything. Save your money. Go elsewhere.
