Not all Hero’s wear capes!
Trupanion was the insurance company that our local veterinarian suggested to us when we got our puppy Lily. Lily was a healthy happy playful puppy, until one day she wasn’t. Lily became very sick and we almost lost her. Thanks to our Fantastic local Veterinarian and Pulse Veterinarian Hospital, lily was diagnosed and has been undergoing treatment and this week also had surgery. Trupanion was there for us every step of the way. Our Veterinarian direct billed and Trupanion paid their portion immediately and without question. AMAZING customer service. Thank you Trupanion for making it possible for us to give our little girl the care and treatment that she needed. Trupanion ROCKS! I will be a client for life. The team at Trupanion are proof that not all Hero’s wear capes! From the bottom of my heart, Thank You for everything you have done.

Exceptional service from Embrace
Exceptional service from Embrace. You never know when you will have unexpected out of pocket expenses for your fur baby. Ours had to have dental surgery due to two cracked teeth - oral surgery is pricey. Embrace was right there every step of the way helping us to get our pup squared away. They have just been phenomenal for big and little emergencies!

I've had the insurance for almost 6…
I've had the insurance for almost 6 months and my dog hurt herself running around outside, the leash wrapped around her ankle and she pulled something in her leg. When I tried to file a claim, Embrace denied it because it was not within the waiting period. This is considered an accident and has a 2 week waiting period. Due to the "type of injury", they said it is actually a 6 month waiting period. They were not upfront about this when I signed on, I cancelled and will be getting my money back. I would not recommend this shady business to anyone.

Insurance policy cancellation
I contacted Pets Best to cancel insurance coverage for my deceased pet. There was no wait time; after following prompts I was immediately connected to a representative. She was helpful and professional. She clearly explained what would happen next. The next day I received an email notification about the cancelation and information about the reimbursement amount. The entire process of quick and simple.

Cancellation Even though I called & updated card
They have a poor claims process, large price increases from year to year, and a lack of communication. They did not communicate to me that they were charging my old credit card on the automatic payments they require. They just cancelled my pet's insurance, then said they could write a new policy, but everything they had been paying for would be pre-existing. They said they sent emails, but I didn't get them. A good company would send an old-fashioned letter in the mail. They said I didn't update the card, but I know I called in and updated to the same card I have on file with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Thank God my pet had two policies, so my little dog is covered. Metlife doesn't care, just cancelled for lack of payment without ensuring I actually received their emails. They said they sent emails, as I changed out my card because it was stolen. It was the same bank, and other service providers transferred to the new card automatically, without notification and without a glitch. They said I passed the grace period. My little Schnoodle was relatively healthy, so I didn't log into Metlife for months. I bought a new policy with Pets Best, and it's $53 cheaper, offering unlimited instead of Metlife's $20,000 annual limit for $292. She was already insured with Healthy Paws, and now her Pets Best is her secondary insurance. Buy smart! Don't Trust your pet to Metlife!
