I took my German Shepherd to the…

I took my German Shepherd to the veterinarian for ear infections. Pets best refuses to cover these ear infections saying that it is due to his allergies even though their veterinarian has plainly stated that it has nothing to do with allergies. This has cost us over $2,000 which pets best is refusing to assist in covering because they say that it is a pre-existing condition even though the veterinarian has stated that it is not and I have done research and sent it to them proving that it is not his allergies that are causing these ear infections. I have given them two stars because when they do cover they cover well and they cover fast. Date is as close as I can remember it's accuracy. The reply from Pets Best is inaccurate, as well. The ear infections was not caused by allergies, was after all time periods, and should have been coverable. I would not recommend Pets Best as anything more than Pets worst Insurance. They do not know the difference between an ear infection and allergies, nor do they listen to the veterinarian who has more education about the working of your pet, than an insurance claim adjuster. They appear to think themselves comparable to a vet, but they are not

Assistance with Tory's Lymphoma

In September, Tory was diagnosed with lymphoma with a very short life expectancy with no treatment. The fact that I had insurance is of great comfort to consider treatment which may exceed $15,000. He is taking treatment very well which has extended his life expectancy greatly and we hope to have him for a long time yet. He is a loving companion and everyone in our neighborhood would miss him greatly if we were unable to care for him.

Seamless claims and great peace of mind

Healthy Paws saved our cat. She was very sick and needed an extremely dangerous expensive surgery in order to save her life, as well as intensive care for about a week afterwards. With all of the worry going on, it was extremely comforting knowing we'd be reimbursed for most of the cost afterwards. We never had to deny any of the treatment on the basis of cost, and as a result our cat is still with us today. The process was simple -- we uploaded a PDF of the vet invoice and then a few days later had a deposit in our bank account. There was no back-and-forth, disputing of claims, etc. The only communication we received afterward was checking to see how our cat was doing, which was a nice gesture. Healthy Paws has been one of the more affordable options for us, and while it would be nice to have some extra things covered the current coverage is still incredible and painless to use.

Don’t waste your money

I have been with this insurance for 8.5 years. When it was still Pet Plan, I would have recommended it to all pet owners.. in fact I did. Now that it’s Fetch, run as fast as you can and don’t waste your money. The approval or pre-approval process is painful. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to receive anything back. The prices are also atrocious. We have two dogs with this company and the premiums on each dog have almost doubled in the past year. Lastly, my Yorkie has been denied any coverage for a periodontal disease claim. I submitted a dental extraction surgery claim because she has teeth on one side of her mouth that are bothering her and causing her not to eat on that side. This has been a problem before and the two previous surgeries were approved by Pet Plan. Big surprise, Fetch denied this entire claim. Stating it’s “routine” and “preventive care”. My advice for anyone working with Fetch is allow a few of your teeth to rot to the point that you need them extracted and then continue to live with it because your insurance denied you the care that you need. I pay $2000 a year just for my Yorkie to have insurance (which continues to inflate every year). I’m cancelling both dogs plans from this fraudulent company and will just pay out of pocket. If I would’ve done that sooner, I would’ve saved money considering her surgery was only $1500.
