4 years with Pets Best BUT.......For the first time ever I made a claim on my purebred Duck Toller, for her teeth extraction. I am now on day 19, waiting patiently on the whopping $265 i will get back off my $800 bill with a $500 deductible. I pay for 2 dogs $177 every quarter, (one purebred one mix breed) I am starting to think after the hassle of trying to get reimbursed after 4 years that I am better off paying out of pocket...YIKES. Beware, extremly LONG time to process claims.

Most Comprehensive & Less Expensive Policy I Found
Easy to purchase this pet insurance. The policy terms seem very fair and upfront. Definitely one of the less expensive, but more comprehensive policies that I saw when I was comparing different pet insurance companies. I will withhold the 5th-star rating until we have to use the policy.

Be prepared to jump through hoops
We have been Pets Best customers/members for years and have four dogs insured with them. Recently we submitted a Vet/Hospital claim for one of our dogs, and ever since we are just getting the runaround. I would not do business with them. This has been a horrible experience. It feels like they keep inventing new hoops to jump through hoping we get tired and give up. They have had no problem collecting our payment each month for years, but when we submitted a claim, we're having to battle. Here's what's happening: I submitted a claim for a hospital bill and a vet bill for the same problem for our dog, and ever since we have been getting the runaround. Meanwhile, we are out more than $2500. First, Pets Best denied the claims stating that they didn't receive the medical records, even though the Vet and hospital stated that they sent the records and provided email confirmations that they sent the records. That required us to take our time to have the Vet resend the records. That day, I confirmed with a Pet's Best rep that they received the records and had everything they needed. Weeks go by and I don't hear or receive any emails from Pets Best, so I call again, and I'm told they now need SOAP notes from the Vet. Of course, they never contacted me to mention this new request or let me know that they didn't receive the needed additional records from the vet. Today we are headed to the vet to request the SOAP notes are sent. I'm hoping there will be no new hoops and they will fulfill their end, but after what we have experienced, it doesn't look promising. All in all, find an insurance company that doesn't play games or makes you work to get your claim reimbursed!

On comparison to other pet insurances
On comparison to other pet insurances, I found Spot to have many more items allowed than others. I have an old dog and 2 cats. I want to keep them healthy so I purchased for all three.

Healthy paws is hands down the BEST pet insurance
I don’t know where to begin besides I will not choose anyone else. They are there for you when you submit a claim. They answer all your questions and claims are complete within a reasonable time frame!!!! Thank you for everything and making it so my fur babies are being cared for when WE need it most!!!
