Submitting a claim was every easy and a refund was sent directly to my bank. My only concern was that I was lead to believe everything had a 90% reimbursement rate for the wellness plan. It was a little less. The increase yearly as my dog ages was minimal. I hope it remains that way. All in all my first year with this insurance was positive.

It took so long before anybody reached out to me over 30 days. Then I only received a quarter of what I paid. I think I’m going to cancel this insurance and go to nations, my daughter-in-law has it for her pet and it’s very reasonable and they pay more

Trupanion Helped Save My Dogs Life
My dog needed emergency surgery to save her life due to bloat. Trupanion was there to talk to me and the clinic to coordinate payment so my dog could get the treatment she deserved. They were quick and very accessible, even with this happening in the middle of the night. Without trupanion I would have not been able to afford this treatment. I am more than grateful to have trupanion to help with all my dogs needs. Everyone has always been so compassionate and helpful to me even for smaller claims.

Tears of reassurance
My dog jumped from a distance and height that was much too far for her little body, and in doing so, she badly injured one of her hind legs. We went to our Vet, then to a specialist, and the cost of the surgery was something I never thought I'd have to spend. I was so stressed over it, and my dog felt my stress as well... I spoke to an agent, and they walked me through the process to get a pre-approval and promised it would be looked at urgently so I could get the response before the scheduled surgery. I was so relieved, and it helped me relax so I could focus on my dog instead of on the financial pressure. The agent was calm and listened to my many questions; he reassured me and provided me with all the information he could. I am grateful.
